    Fantastic Dog Life Jacket

    We love the Float Coat Life Jacket as does our European Golden Retriever 14 week puppy.

    We have a pool and we will be taking him to the beach so water safety is essential.

    The instructions included were rather lacking, but we found great videos on Internet.

    After my wife fitted him, we allowed him to acclimate to the vest in the house and yard with numerous treats until he was confortable wearing it… we then spent two days teaching him were the steps were for access and egress. My wife was always in the pool with him while I initially lowered him to the top step. The third day he began swimming two feet distances always returning to the top step. Water safety and love of swimming is our goal, thus building our puppy’s confidence is essential.

    Great quality

    The Float Coat life jacket is clearly great quality and looks super cute on my dog. She’s 85 lbs and the large fits perfectly. The handle is handy as well, no pun intended.

    Fits well but not sure about “one buoyancy fits all”

    Fit and style are excellent, dries fast like a normal life jacket.

    But my dog only 53-55ish lbs still sits pretty low in the water with this. An upgrade could be to have the internals on the belly side for more buoyancy

    We love our float coat!

    This is by far the best dog life jacket ever! We got one for our dog, Kennedy, 10 years ago (2014) and we just had to replace it this year. It’s easy to put on and to adjust. The handle makes it super easy to pull her up onto the boat and help her in/out of the car. I love the leash hook on the back so we can attach her swimming leash to the life jacket instead of her collar. The color helps us to keep track of her when we are out in the ocean. And now that she’s older, it’s great for her to wear for a quick game of water fetch.

    She knows when I pull out her float coat, that she’s going swimming and she gets so excited!
