this is one awesome, rugged, perfectly fitting jacket for a hard-to-fit jackawawa (JRT + chiwawa)--it stays put, it keeps me toasty, and i'd like to know where the other JRT got her PINK one !! highly recommend this, and would also love to see a "shell" that fits over it !

I love this product! It's easy to put on Blue and he is comfortable in it. He has tested it out in snow and -17 degree cold and it's passed. I was a little concerned about the fit, but it's fine and there's a little room for him to grow - he's only 7 months old.

Great coat, cute fit but need's improvement. Make a male and female fit. Poor little Lola's belly get's no coverage because the coat is cut for a male dog. Make gender options. Also would love to see a really tough, zip together shell, 3 in 1 that this could zip into. She's shredded the back running under barbed wire fences.

This jacket was better then I could of imagined. Fits so perfect, our dog is 90lbs with a huge chest and it couldnt fit more perfect. And it doesnt get in the way when he pees..its far enough from it. We couldnt be happier with this product and how warm it keeps him when at the beach in the cold.

Bought it for my 13 year old JRT. She loves it and I love it because it keeps her warm on these cold days when we are walking. Love the pink!

I have bought climate changer before, my chihuahua loves it. When new color is out, I bought another one for her. XXS fits her just fine, she is 7 lbs.

Valentino is a very active very muscular 4 year old Dalmatian. Because he is so "buff" and has so little fur, he gets cold easily. The Climate Changer fits snuggly to his slim body and keeps him warm without getting in the way. It is also very easy to get on and off which I appreciate since Vali is constantly wiggling!

Sparky loves this jacket! It is well made, warm, water resisant, easy to put on and take off also fits like a glove. Works great alone or as a layer under the Quinzee Jacket and/or Track Jacket, to help keep the snowmobilers from running over him.

My new Climate Changers are awesome! My dachshund used to shiver all the time during the winter, because he was cold. Now, he stays nice and toasty. My only complaint is that his front legs got caught in the arm holes when he snuggled up, but I just sewed a permanent cuff in the sleeves, and he's great now! (11 lbs Dachshund, size XXS). As for the Airedale, in order to get a size big enough for his chest, the jacket is a little long down towards his tail, but once again, a little sewing fixed that. (45 lbs Airedale, size M). Overall, I'm VERY happy with my jackets. They look GREAT and keep my dogs warm!

My dog loves his new climate changer. He is a pit bull and has very little fur. In the winter, he gets cold so easily, and the Climate Changer makes him very happy. Many people have commented on the jacket while we are on walks, and I feel like a Ruffwear advertisement when I tell them about finding it online at Ruffwear. It won't be long before I'm purchasing another one!

Been searching and searching for a jacket to fit my chesty boy. They were either too tight in the chest or too long lengthwise. Finally found a jacket that fits, looks great, and keeps my boy warm! Love the lichen green but more colors would be great - I'd buy another :)

Kansas winters can be cold and dry- the climat changer is perfect for that! With my nearly naked greyhounds, I like the fact these come down lower on their belly. Since every time they ask for input, my comment is PINK!, I jumped on these Berry color climate changers the moment they came out. Ours did pill a bit after washing, but since we washed them three times the first two weeks we had them, normal wear probably wouldn't do that.

I'm fostering Schatzi right now. She is 10 years old and always seems so cold. This jacket is perfect for her as it fits really well and keeps her so warm. She loves this jacket!

We have several of these marvy, thick well made sweaters. Love the new berry color but have them all. the black does show dust, dirt and dog hair but is so stylish it is worth it. Ours get worn often (daily in winter) and are washed about 3 times a month. I use a sport wash product and the fleece stays full and soft for scores of washings. I have noticed that when washed in regular laundry detergent, the fleece does not stay as plush or as thick. try sport wash or tech wash for best results. The cut is similar to the cloud chaser but the fit is a bit looser and more forgiving with no armpit chafing either. If you are between sizes on Cloud Chaser fit, the smaller size might fit fine in Climate Changer. medium is a relaxed fit on our 50 lb GSPs and athletic fit on 62 lb Vizslas. Plump 70 lb dalmation wears large but could squeeze into medium in a pinch

The Climate Changer jacket is well made and very easy to put on. My dog has never worn a jacket before, but was comfortable in this jacket right away. My only request would be that jacket size would also indicate length along the back. We ordered based on chest measurement. The jacket fits well around her chest, but is a little short for our dog. Had we known the length in advance, we probably would have chosen the next size up.

Atilla uses her sweater every morning and night. It keeps her warm on those cold days and nights. Love the zipper.

This jacket does a great job of keeping my dog toasty warm on cold nights. Quality construction withstands occasional chewing, and I love the new berry color.

I have a doberman with thin hair for the Wisconsin winters. I have bought numerous "pet store" brand fleeces all of which were thin and the velcro didn't last but 1 season. This product has a lot more weight to the fleece and the zipper is good quality. Easy on/easy off even with the zipper which I was hesitant about. Great fit on my dog. My dog loves it. Seems like a good quality item that should hopefully last.

this is a good coat for cold but in the snow it gets wet. I prefer the cloud chaser jacket for my snow crazed lab.

Great coat. However the sleeves caused bad rashes on her front legs. However the staff at Ruff Wear was AWESOME!!! So we got the Quinzee for her to play in the snow in! Thanks Everyone! I can recommend this product because it was nice and warm for her but just wasn't right for this dog.

I keep my Aussie clipped so he needs a coat in the winter. He loves his new green climate changer! It is so easy to put on and the fabric is thick and warm. It is a very high quality product. He loves the way it zips on the side...he much prefers this to velcro. He wanted me to ask if he could please have one in red!

I bought the Climate Chaser a couple of weeks ago at REI. Since I bought it, it the temp has been around 20˚-30˚. I'm so glad I did. My dog has short hair & she doesn't maintain heat well. So, after a visit to my local REI I picked it up. I'm not worried at all about if she's cold. Take today for instance the temperature outside is 31˚ but under her coat she's all warm & toasty. I would highly recommend this product to any owner that has a short hair breed.

I've bought my boy many sweaters/jackets and this is hands down the best purchase ever! I LOVE the zipper closure and it fits him perfectly. He is so proud when he has it on, and I feel better about longer walks in the freezing cold when he wears this. I'm going to buy it in every color - even the berry - he doesn't know pink is for girls ; )

It's so hard finding a sweater to fit my gsp. Over the head sweaters were too hard to get on and off and the velcro closure ones would always fall off when Brittany would run through the snow. She hasn't had a chance to really wear it yet but I believe that this one will definitely do the trick! I love the zipper closure, makes it easy to get on and off and stays on her when she is running around.

even though we live is So Cal, Jack, our Doberman puppy gets chilled easily. The jacket has helped him to deal with out early morning runs. The order was processed and shipped very promptly. Now he needs the other color!

When the Climate Changers arrived I was so excited and so were the dogs. They were soft and warm and looked great! But after just a couple of weeks of regular use I noticed the seams starting to fall apart. Now, less than one full season later, they are full of rips and holes and pretty much useless. I've purchased a fair amount of dog coats and often purchase clothing for my horses. Though I'm generally a big fan of the company these really disappointed. Unfortunately, I won't be purchasing dog coats through Ruff Wear any more.

I have a variety of ruff wear products and I have always been overly impressed. This fleece fits my dog great and keeps her warm. Easy on and off.

I purchased this coat last year for my pei. He wears it non stop during the winter as he is always cold. I have washed it 20-30 times and it still looks new. And...this guy plays hard. No rips or tears, fleece still looks great. I love the ease of getting him in and out of it. Thanks for such a great product.

Well-made jacket. Covers my granddog's shoulders, torso, and full back, providing comfortable warmth. She loves it. Easy to get on and the lined zipper is a plus--preventing fur/skin from getting snagged.

All of my dogs have this jacket in Lichen Green. (Black shows fuzz more) They are all wearing the XXS. Their measurements are 12" L X 13" Chest, 13" L X 13" Chest and 13" Long X 16.5 Chest. The fabric and edges are slightly stretchy but haven't noticed any giving out or excessive stretching while moving. Form fitting but haven't seen any rubbing off of the fur/hair. 4 stars because it is way too expensive. Alas, I can't find anything else that fits quite as nicely on my hairless boy. If it isn't tight enough to prevent hanging, he will pee on it.

This is the best designed coat yet!!! My dog is old, and feels the cold. The styling is terrific, can't shift, washes beautifully....Best is the fact that he LOVES it, at 16 years old.....whatever he likes, he gets!!!

Our 1 year old GSP who weighs about 55 lbs and measures 29" in girth LOVES this fleece. After we're done hiking and take off the cloud chaser we put this on to keep her nice and warm and she and we love it. The medium fits perfectly, not too tight, not loose either. Would recommend it in a heartbeat!

We have a year old vizsla who hates the cold but loves to run! The weather hasn't gotten cold enough to use the jacket yet, but we've tried it on to get her used to it. It is easy to use, fits well and has much more coverage than any other coat we've tried. Love it!

This polartec jacket is fabulous. I have tried so many jackets, sweaters, etc and nothing ever fits. This was true to size, feels great, fits perfect.....snug but not too tight. And easy on and easy off. Very good for an athletic dog. Order it, you won't be disappointed.

This coat is lightweight but durable, warm and high-quality. Easy to put on/take off, and dog seems to like -- or at least not to mind. Prefer it to the K9 coat, which is too short in length for our dog and seems to offer more protection on chilly mornings and evenings. She is 72cm ribcage and the M size fit perfectly. Highly recommend.

Wrong colors for off leash uses. I want to see my dogs easily during deer season and any other time.Yellow ,orange and red are the best colors when your dog is off leash. Not a option here. Get the cloud chaser in red.

Hands down the best overall coat for my dog. Rain, snow, ice, wind, this jacket is the best. I've been through every coat under the sun and this is the "real deal." Lasts for years. I can count on this coat to come through when my dog needs it .

Looks great on Kaia and will keep her really warm during the winter! Her girth is 24 inches so, I got her a small. Even though it fits well, it still is a little snug around her chest.

Confortable as any other I have ever seen and looks very good on my pet. Soft and really warm. Very easy to put on and take off. Very well done and good quality material. My pet has Hip Dysplasia-HD and I must keep her warm during cold weather to avoid severe pain and this coat has helped me a lot with that. Just wish all Ruffwear XL coats were at least as long as this one so that I could purchase more items for my Great Dane

I bought one for each of my dogs. These are the most well designed and best fitting coats I have yet tried. Easy on and off. We walk daily no matter what the weather, and these got us through a really long, cold winter.

altho i'm not accustomed to wearing outfits, i find this to be a jacket that not only makes me look dapper, it keeps me warm on really cold days ! however, i prefer to run in the buff, and i don't like wearing it in front of girls, but i admit it helps keep me from being cold in the maine winters! (what do i know, i'm from louisiana !) altho the sizing is drastic from xs to small for my little jack russell sister, it's awesome for my perfect 50 lb muscley body ! my bull terrier x sister hates it, she prefers to weather the elements naked, but i have to say she looks really cute in it, even tho i never really consider her "cute" the only thing we would change is to put a water-resistent chest/belly protector fabric on it, it doesn't hold well in the wet that we invariably get into ! oh, and add a couple more sizes for the inbetween kids) like we always say "we wear ruffwear, or nothing at all "!!!

Ashley loves this jacket. I have never been one to dress up my dog, but Ashley is not a cold weather dog. Because she is part boxer she has short hair, but the energy of a black lab. She often comes skiing and snowshoeing with me. The jacket has been a great addition to other ruffwear wardrobe. This jacket allows her to just hang out when I am outside shoveling or when we go for a walk. It fits incredibly well and is extremely durable. This is a wonderful product. Ashley's other jacket is the soft shell. She also has the booties for running in the snow.

Good cut, and good fit. I usually use this jacket if I have to leave the boy in the car in the winter for a little while. Not great for windy or wet days where more of a shell is required. Our guy is pretty skinny and needs a little extra insulation which this jacket provides. Replace the zipper pulls with somethinga little more beefy

Got this for my dog because he has short fur and loves to ski. Its a little tight on my dog in a medium and he has gained some weight. It doesn't seem like it bothers him and/or warm. Hes a dog he likes to run.

It keeps my lab super warm, and my Aussie mix loves playing in the snow with his on!

when I was a kid my parents dressed me like a dork. I swore that if I ever had kids that they would not suffer as I did. That goes for the mutt as well. The climate changer fleece fits the little guy perfectly and keeps him warm and happy...but best of all, he's the best dressed K9 on the block..super cool!

Our dog is 45 LBS with a 27 inch girth. We ordered the medium size and it fits perfectly. She loves her new coat - which still looks almost like new after several washings.

She grew out of the small size. (She was on the upper end of the size) We loved it so much, that we bought the exact same thing in a medium.

The Climate Changer Fleece is an excellent, long lasting coat. The style permits the dog to be active and play and the dog doesn't try to take it off! I had to shorten the underside a bit for the male dog.

Great product. Unfortunately, does not fit our female frenchie. We had the jacket tailored, to make the back shorter. Now she can wear it, but wish it fit better.

Keeps my Sophie warm (she's only 9.5 lbs), fits her very well, easy to clean, easy to put on and take off and love the protective fabric so her hair doesn't get caught in the zipper. Love the product!

The jacket keeps our smaller Weim toasty and the green is very attractive on her silver/grey coat. She's very active and we've had no problems with it shifting about. If there is anything negative about it I'd say it could be a bit longer - our dog is narrow-chested for a Weim and the jacket is about 2 inches short of the point of her croup. Overall a great product!

We bought this jacket to keep our dog warm for a recent ski trip. The fit was great and he could move easily in the jacket. We loved the product. We also brought the same item for our lab, a much bigger version..and that fit her great as well.

We have purchased several different fleeces, coats and sweaters but none were good enough. They either did not fit right, would ride up or tear easily. We are very pleased with the Climate Changer and so is Mollie. We recommend to anyone looking to keep their pet warm,dry and comfy.

Before buying the climate changer, I read all the reviews.. good and bad, and decided to purchase, the climate changer seemed the best product on the market. The Good: Awsome looking, construction looks top notch, fits our doberman perfect with a little room to grow since he was 13mo. at the time of puchase. The Bad: The arm holes rubbed him raw, and not the top/armpit seam but the piping seam at the end of the sleeve. The Fix: Cut off the piping seam, no more issues, he loves it!! and I still love the product as well. 4 out of 5!!

This is a great coat to keep our Lab warm in the snow and cold. We've put it on him while snowshoeing, and it's been fabulous! It fits close to the body, and protects his belly from all the snow.

Our 65lb. boxer Dexter has a deep chest, very light coat and hates the cold. This jacket is the best around! I purchased the medium and it fits him perfectly. No rubbing under the arms, zipper is great and overall would recommend to everyone who's dog needs an extra layer. Plus the reflective strips are a bonus safety precaution.

This fleece fit Bones perfectly! He's 75 lbs, and the large worked. It makes him look so handsome... i'm sure he thinks he's a ruffwear model! Not to mention it really helps in the freezing cold and snow!

This fleece keeps my SD warm on out travels cross the USA .AS we are from FL she really dislikes the cold andthis keepet her nice and warm. The only problem we have is that the legs are too long. We have to have a M size to accomadate her chest, but the legs are so long she somtimes trips over them!!

Got a medium for our Lab (she's quite small) and a large for our Griffon and both fit great. What was most amazing is that they both didn't mind wearing them at all! We've got a vacation home where it gets really cold and they both welcome wearing their first ever coat.

This jacket works great. We live in windy and cold Wyoming with two gangly whippets. It keeps them warm.

Daisy Mae the Plott Hound is NOT a fan of the cold and snow, but this jacket has been a big help! She's about 65 pounds with a hound build (big chest, long legs) and the large is the perfect length, although a big loose in the chest. It's easier to get on than other jackets we've tried. The leg holes are well located and don't pull or bind at all. Overall a very nice dog fleece for dry conditions.

I have a short, little 40lb pit girl who does not like the cold. I ordered the small and it is really a great fit for her very broad chest. I bought this jacket because of it's coverage. My previous pit bull did not have this jacket and her armpits and belly would become red and rash-like after being in snow and/or cold. I also like how easy it is to get on, even with my excited bouncing girl, we have no issues. The downside is what I had read in reviews, the "arm" elastic does in fact have too much friction making bald/red spots on her front legs. I have cut off that frabric and removed the elastic and have had no issues since. A shame to have to slice up such a well made product, (and after paying this amount) but I still say it's the best coat I've ever come across. Also good for short walks in rain, (keeps dirt off belly and dog dry) and cilly camping nights in the tent. My girl just LOVES it! (and it looks sharp too)

Dobies do NOT have an undercoat. Mine love putting these on. The product is well made from a heavy high quality fleece that gives good coverage and stretches with the dog. Plus, you can't beat the service from Ruff Wear. They realllly care. Karen (Jackson County Search and Rescue K9 team)

My GSP's are 28in and 31in and the Med fit both pups but a little betted on the bigger one one with the overall length just two-three inches too long for me pups but still a decent fit. There were no problems with the arms being to tight on either dogs and the midsection is a little to loose but my dogs are very lean so this is to be expected. The quaility of this product is excellent like all RW products I own and even though I bought this for the smaller female I tried it on both for this review. I could see were alot of "male" owners could have urination problems with it but mine had no problems since it was more snug on him.

I have a 12 pound mutt with a 17 inch girth. I ordered the XS in both the Climate Changer and Cloud Chaser jackets. Both were ill-fitting in different places - the Climate Changer is a bit baggy in the front but perfect length underneath for "male parts", while the Cloud Chaser is scuba-suit form fitting and waaay too long underneath. I understand that the material is different, but why the change in lengths/cuts? The Dean Machine is an odd shaped dog, (short sturdy legs with a lean stream-lined "runners" body), so maybe altering is the only way to get a perfect fit. The material is thick, with good quality seams - and the most decent looking winter wear for dogs I've seen. Like another reviewer stated, these jackets may be better suited for female dogs, and dogs with longer legs and torsos. The XXS may fit the compact purse dog, but for the irregular mutt, you may have to design your own gear.

My husband went offroading with friends and our dog got loose. She was lost in a snowy forest for over 15 hours. It had snowed and the weather was not promising, but she did have her ruffwear coat on. I honestly think it saved her life. I would recommend this coat to anyone.

Pablo Bean Burrito gets cold IN the house during winter. He loves his new fleece jacket and the green looks great on him. The medium is a perfect fit (he is on the size boarder for large/medium). If your not sure if your dog should be a med or large, I found the medium is the perfect size for him. He also has the cloud chaser jacket in a large and it's a wee bit too big.

Fits my mini aussie fine but the jacket could be a little longer in the xxs size for my papillon. Overall they love wearing it and the quality is top notch

My dog loves his jacket and smiles when I put it on him. This jacket in a medium was a little long for a standard schnuauzer's torso, so when he wags his tail, the whole jacket wags, and you smile, too. I also got one for the Jack Russell and her fit was perfect. Jacket is great quality, easy to put on, cleans up easily. My dogs got theirs just in time for old man winter and we are very happy with the quality and durablility so far.

Works well, keeps the big Rott warm on cold snowy hunts, it works well with my Ridgeback, but it takes a lot to keep an African dog warm in the snow. All the jackets could use some protection on the highest part of the back to protect against barbed wire and other things the dogs run under. With that modification these jackets would be perfect.

This is a really nice looking coat. designed very well. This is your keen/northface for dogs. I LOVE the loop for the saftey light i bought. And just hook the leash to the saftey light and your good to go. I dont like how the weight of the zipper causes the jacket the lope to the side a little but other than that just a great looking, well made, warm fleece for your active dog.

never had any problems with any rips, easy on, easy off !! my jackawawa loves it ! sizing a bit off, but maybe she's grown some in the jack russell chest part of her! she tears around the woods and fields in it, totally comfortable and happy !! she has one in each color !! :)

In the past I have had a difficult time getting my dogs to wear coats. The breed is from Africa and they love heat, don't like cold. This is the first product that my two dogs will wear and the Climate Changer fits great. Thanks I'm so glad I found your product

This jacket ripped within 5 minutes of my dog having it on. One chase for a ball, a roll, and it came up with a rip in the fleece. I guess if your dog is just going to walk in it, it would be OK, but far too flimsy for any real activity

not right for my dog. My Boston has a 16-17 inch girth, so I ordered the xxs per the sizing chart. The quality is obviously there, but it wouldn't fit around him. Not to say the sizing chart was wrong, but too small for my dog. Spent 4.95 on shipping (I think more companies should offer free shipping within the states since they make a lot of money from these products) and ordered the xs. Fit better (a little baggy), but waaaaaaay too long and not wearable as is. If you have a taller, shorter (he's actually quite long for a boston), narrow girthed dog, this may not fit. I just don't get how from xxs to xs there is such a significant change in length. I recommend it if it fits. No hikes in the cold for us anytime soon..

I really haven't had to use it yet. We have had a warm fall. It really doesn't matter too much what I think, it's what Jewel thinks. I did put it on her when it arrived, she seemed to tolerate it, and that's something for her. So at least she doesn't hate it, that's something. When the temps get down in the sub-freezing area we will find out what she really thinks of it. I have noticed several people complaining of rips, so I wont leave her unattened while wearing the coat.

This fleece coat tore within 5 minutes of use. Not durable enough at all.

So far it's been great, we wanted it for cold camping nights and days in the winter. She love it and it fits her well and she is able to run and play in it too.

Less then 5 minutes wearing this jacket and it had a tear in the fleece. Not on the seam, directly in the fabric. Not happy I paid $11 to get it shipped to me, $11 to ship it back, and another $11 to get what is supposed to be a coat with some sort of protective outer lining

Our shorthair (get the name) has little hair and no body fat. He is an avid hunter and great running partner. We use this jacket in the fall and winter for his sleeping coat. He is a versitle hunting dog, house dog and family dog, this coat keeps him nice and warm in those cold fall/winter nights.

Hi, this is by far the best quality dog coat I have purchased for my pooch. The xs size fits my mini poodle (he is 18 lbs with a 21'' girth) like a glove. The polar fleece is stretchy so mobility is great. The zipper placement on the side is part of the well thought out design. Because this coat covers the chest, neck, and forelegs, it is ideal for winter trips to the Sierras.

Our newest K9 Lifeguard, Torrey, is only 5 months old, and has trouble tolerating the cold water for long periods of time. This coat not only fits like a glove under her harness, it provides the extra layer of warmth she needs out of the surf to allow her to participate in the rest of the training. Otherwise, she shivers so much, she has to sit in the car to warm up and misses land-training. Great job, Ruff Wear! (Wish there were human jackets like this!)

Our newest addition to the "Working Water Dogs" K9 Lifeguard team is Torrey, a 5 month old Weim. This jacket allows her the extra layer of warmth she needs to tolerate the cold after swimming in 60* ocean water. It fits PERFECTLY under her harness, and allows her to participate in land training without shivering herself to sleep on the beach. She had to be put in the car to warm up before we added this to her gear, causing her to miss valuable training time on the beach. Great Job, Ruff Wear!

This is as nice or nicer than any jacket I own for me! the fleece is very thick and soft - even after several washings. (I recommend a sport wash product to keep the loft). Its easy to get on and off yet provides excellent coverage of the chest and underside - crucial for real warmth. My GSPs dogs adore this garment. Its cut along the same shape as the Cloud Chaser coat but with much more ease in the chest and body and seems a bit longer as a result.

I heard about this coat before it acually came out and i could not wait! This is great for a cool afternoon. You will not believe how soft it is with the same ruffwear attention for quality.

My dog loves it. It is soft and warm for her. Great material, design.

I like that the jacket is lightweight and can be used as a winter or fall/spring jacket. The only negative is getting the legs through the sleeves. Otherwise, it's a perfect fit!!

The product is well made but the fleece seems too thin to me. I'd rather see a heavier fleece fabric.

i got the black climate changer, it fits well under the k9 overcoat, keeps the chest warm and clean after running in the muck! jacks are hard to fit dogs and the zipper tends to open after ruff housing, but overall it's a great jacket!

The material is warm, very fitting, good zipper location, great look. The sleeves could be a little more flexible to reduce wear on the leg but minor.

Were making a trip to the snow and Rusty has a really thin coat. Although he weighs 95lbs he fitted well in the large, although we bought an XL first. He seemed comfortable in the coat as soon as we put it and it kept him beautifully warm. He wasn't so sure about the snow. One small thing - and it is most probably my dog's quirk - but he wouldn't lift his leg with the jacket on. He held in for about 20 hours, and we were getting real worried, but he was warm so I took it off and he rushed outside in relief.

This is the best fitting jacket I have ever used for my dog. He has auto-immune joint issues and I like to keep a nice layer on him even inside in the winter. He wears it all the time and it fits perfectly to his body! Thank you for making this great product!

Great product. Lily is with me most of the time and occasionally needs to be left in the car, which was my primary reason for buying the jacket. As far as my application, the jacket as a standalone is more of a hindrance outside than a help because, like all fleece, it attracts burrs and gets wet very easily, especially with a low-rider dog. However, when used as a base layer with the Cloud Chaser over top, it adds an obvious level of protection. I would not use the Climate Changer if you and your pet are “off the trail” on a regular basis where there are branches, thorns and everything in between; instead I would use the Cloud Chaser. Then, if you need the extra warmth, the Climate Changer makes a great addition to the Cloud Chaser.

Blaze is a short hair breed, and so when we took our four day backcountry hike in below freezing temperatures, she absolutely had to have something to keep her warm through the day. This rocked! We weren't hiking what I would call an established trail - It was a wilderness trail which was brutal on hikers and gear alike. This, combined with bark'n boots and the palisades pack worked perfectly. The jacket fits her extremely well - her girth is 31" and I bought her a medium. She was a little cold, as we all were for the whole trip, but she wasn't freezing, and that was important.

When my boy Charlie and I head out at 6:30 am for our morning walk the average temperature on a January morning in WI is 10 degrees F. The Bark 'n Boots Skyliner boots keep his little feet safe and comfortable. It took a little while for me to get the hang of getting them on tight enough so that they didn't fall off.

Greyhounds don't have much body fat, so when it's under 40, they need something and this is perfect for that. It could be a little longer on the top as it seems a bit short for my hounds, but for most dogs it's probably perfect.

This was exactly what I was looking for. My newly rescued Dobe has a poor coat and is almost bald in many areas. The hardest to cover was his chest and tummy. Your fleece did the job. I was using 4 (I kid you not) layers of the conventional "horse blanket types to try to keep this guy warm. Now with your K9 overcoat and the fleece, he is toasty warm on our walks. He hugs me every time I put it on. I think he likes it! Thanks for a super product. I give it five stars.

Beamer, our GSP, loves it! It not only looks great, but, fits great as well! The large fits him perfectly- he's about 88 lbs.

We have had lots of snow this year so the fleece coat has been used a lot. It kept him out playing in 6" of snow and 18 F. He is 63 lbs and the mediun fits him well. I've washed it several times and it is holding up well. I also use the cloud chaser jacket when it's cold and rainy that is also a great product.

Wonderful coat! Gunner loves his new coat. He is 85 lbs, so i ordered the XL which was too large, so had to return and order a Large. It fits like a glove!

...the front of the arms rubbed the hair off my dog's coat in only a few 3 mile runs. I would love to have this product with shorter (or no) sleeves on it.

This is an excellent piece for our dog. It fits him like a glove. He has the Climate Changer Fleece Jacket. It is the perfect weight of material without restricting his movement and adds just enough warmth. However, it does tend to be a little too snug only in the arm area, so I would recommend making the arms just a bit wider. I had to stretch out the arm holes. Other than that, I would definately purchase another and also recommend this product to anyone looking for great quality products for their dog. We are very happy!

I like these vests. I hunt with my dogs and I use these when it is very cold. They are quieter and don't rub my dogs as much as other vest I have tried. But, the green color is not as bright as I would like. I wish they came in international orange.

The Aussie (who has no fur secondary to his allergies) has now taken over this jacket that I bought for the Goldens. Excellent, excellent product. Only thing is that the zipper is difficult to start when you are putting it on the dog.

My wife and I rescued to pitties a few years back who LOVE spending time outside most of the year. Winter, however is by far their least favorite.............until we bought these coats. It's 26 degrees out and they don't want to come inside. The coats fit perfectly, well constructed and the fleece material is very nice. Duke and Jada loved them from day one and are very comfortable taking walks in the cold weather. In the past, they would shake and shiver if outside for a few minutes. Those days are long gone. I've slipped my hand up inside the coat when they're wearing it to feel their body temp..........always warm. I'd HIGHLY recommend this coat to everyone. Simply said, you can't go wrong.

I got this for my boxer for Christmas travel b/c she's a little on the skinny side. She was comfortable in it from day one. I exchanged the green for the black because the green is quite a bit brighter in person!

We got this coat for our young boxer. He goes for a walk at least once a day and after a cold snap I decided to go ahead and get this coat for him. With highs in the 20s right now, this coat helps him to still get his exercise without being chilled. He was a bit confused the first time I put it on, but now he knows exacty what it means when I pull it out. The fit is great, no chafing and he is able to run around as usual. A bit pricey but great materials and it is obvious this is a high-quality jacket, functional and looks good too.

I got this for Lily during the winter months when she's outside at doggie daycare. The fit is great and I love that it covers her belly and chest where there's less fur to keep her warm. She doesn't seem to mind it at all since it doesn't obstruct her movement while romping around with the other dogs. I love how well built it is and how it doesn't look like the other goofy dog coats I've seen! It looks like a fleece jacket I would wear but sized for her. Even my boyfriend who first thought the idea was ridiculous liked the coat on her. She has the Cloud Chaser for rainy days but this is perfect for clear, cold days. Fantastic product!

Because of their deep chests, vizslas can be difficult to size. This coat fits him perfectly and is so well made. We are extremely satisfied....

I am thrilled that I finally found a coat that fits my dog! I was a little worried that my Great Dane would be too big for the x-large but it fits him with a little bit of room to spare (he has a 40" chest). The size measurements that are listed seem to be very accurate so if your dog's chest size is larger than 42", the coat may not fit but it does have a little stretch in it. The length is perfect. He loves it--can't wait to take him camping in the spring!

Oz and I love this jacket! I got the xxsmall for him and it fits like a glove! I got it for our 6week stay in Ouray and have had him in it for our hikes around Utah and he has already gotten used to wearing it. Now he doesn't shake and whine when we are out in the snow, he just tromps along happily with all the other dogs.

Our new pup loves to play in the snow and this fleece is perfect! Easy to put on and fits great. We're happy that we spent a little more - it's worth it.

AZ winters can cause our short-haired pup to start shivering (even inside the house). The jacket promptly takes care of that problem. The only time he's not wearing it is during active hikes and agility class. The jacket has a great look and doesn't stretch out (like sweaters can). The side zipper is great - so easy to slip on and off. Size XS is a perfect fit for our 23 lb. pup.

I bought this at a pet store over the weekend. I have a min pin that really loves outside but he doesn't have a ton of fur so he gets cold VERY easily. I have been looking for a coat that ZIPS or snaps as opposed to velcro as my Ridgeback will pull a velcro jacket off of my min-pin and chew it up. I LOVE this jacket. The price is appalling but the workmanship of this is great. The zipper is sturdy, the stitching is solid and overall, it is really well constructed. And, of course, he looks super cute!!! Also bought the cloud chaser but figured I would wait until it's wet to use it.

It gets cold in the mountains, and my dobie wears his Climate Changer every night. When the weather gets really cold, we put his Ruffwear coat over it and double layer him. Both have held up nicely and that's saying alot since he rockets through the mountain trails every day!

Great jacket! I own every Ruff Wear jacket made and a idea on Ruff Wear new jacket would be this fleece for clod weather use with a outer water proof shell like Sun Shower jacket with removable hood that the outer shell is more like the K-9 Overcoat that can with stand back woods use.

Both of our dogs have had their Climate Changer Fleece Jackets for almost a year and the jackets are still in good condition. The jackets fit the dogs well and do not appear to restrict movement nor bother the dogs. Our Pit Bull gets cold at night so he wears his jacket to bed in the winter. With consistent nightly wear and some roughhousing with the jackets on, one jacket has ripped in two different places. Both times were close to the seam and very easy to stitch up. We have both green and black and personally like how the green does not show our dogs hair as much as the black does.

This coat fits my Dobie girl like a glove without hindering her movement. It also keeps her belly nice and warm.

Our Vizsla, Steve, loves being outside, but doesn't have much of a natural coat to defend against the cold- this fleece jacket is thick enough to keep him warm out in the yard or at the dog park, but not so bulky that he can't simply lounge around the house in it too. And if it's below freezing or raining, he can easily wear it beneath a raincoat or snow jacket for extra insulation. Overall, I would highly recommend it!

Just got this in addition to the cloud chaser. It's a bit roomier and stretchier than the cloud chaser and therefore more comfortable and better for lounging around or putting it on at night when you're camping in cold weather. Not wind or water proof, so for snowshoeing etc. the cloud chaser is definitely better. Seems a bit pricey for the material. Shop for a sale!

Fits my female Doberman like a glove. Gives good coverage without being bulky. She's stylin' as well as warm on our cold weather walks. I may have to start dressing better.
