This is a very well made product. Keeps our Great Dane warm in the chilly WI winters. However, the fit is an issue. Like most Danes, ours has a large chest and small waist. It fits him appropriately around his chest, but is way too large around his waist, and too tight around the front legs. As others have mentioned, after 30 minutes of running, our poor guy's front legs were rubbed raw. So we now use it for shorter, less strenuous activities like quick walks.

The Climate Changer has the perfect combnatoin of coverage/warmth and freedom of movement that keeps the dogs warm and happy. They can lounge around on a cold day or run free on the trails. Our dogs are so used to them now that when I sit down next to them and they sniff the jacket in my hands, they lift first one leg, then the other, I zip and they are off and running!

I never thought my super-picky, wiggly worm of a pup would willingly wear a jacket, but she loves this fleece! It fits her perfectly and keeps her nice and warm. I especially love the reflective strips along the sides - great for nighttime city walking!

Bones has this in black and magenta! He has a pretty large neck and medium fits him fine! Since he has really thin fur, It has been a staple for him during this winter! Have also layered this under the roughwear puffy jacket for snowy days. perfect!

Best dog coat ever!! Super fit for my deep chested Vizsla, not too tight, or bulky, so it is really comfortable for him, lots of coverage and just the right thickness for just about any cold tempurature coastal Maine can throw at us. It is good looking too, he is the most stylish dog at the park. Best coat ever as long at it is dry and not raining.

This is a great coat and fit well for my deep chested GSP. Its easy to put on, unlike some of the pull over the head kind of coats and also nice because it covers the under-belly enough but not too much for my male when he has to "go". My GSP did manage to chew the zipper! Aaahh! So a way to put the zipper totally on the back of the coat/back of the dog would be completely out of reach for chewers.

I love these dog sweatshirts! They fit fantastic and are super easy to put on. I have pit bulls who have no hair and no fat and are always cold. One of my dogs also had bilateral elbow surgery, so he can't put his feet up through "normal" sweaters. The side zip of the Climate Changer is ideal for his issue! LOVE this product! I own 4 of them now!

Daisy has been warm and snuggly in her new Climate Changer!! She hates going out in the cold a bit less now.

This is a really high-quality coat, and it fit my Doberman Pinscher perfectly which is unusual to find off-the-rack. It's great for her romps at the dog park and on walks where it's cold but not completely freezing. It's a little bit tough to get on whether it's zipped up or not, but we figured out a routine to get her into her fleece. I have other heavier coats for extremely cold weather and for rainy days, but this is perfect for long walks in temperatures to about freezing. It's a wee bit overpriced (10-20%) in comparison to other coats including custom made ones, but I have yet to find a pink/purple color which I love. All of our (human) friends loved the coat and wanted to know where to get it, and it was funny to watch her dog friends not know what to make of the big pink Doberman at first!

Bought this for our Catahoula, who has very thin fur and almost no fat on his body. Needless to say, he gets cold pretty quick when the temps start to drop in Colorado. He's a long and lanky 42lbs and the size small fits him really well. It's nice and long, and isn't too tight. If he wears it too much the sleeves rub the fur on the front of his legs, but his fur is pretty sensitive to this, so I don't think that would be the case if your dog has thicker fur. He loves when we put it on, and I can tell he is comfortable wearing it. He wears it on walks if it's under 20, and wears it to bed when it's cold out since we keep the temps down in our house. I would certainly recommend! Note: If you have a male dog with a shorter torso, you might have an issue with them peeing on the underside. Our guy is really lanky so it isn't a problem, and I think even most regular length torsos would be fine. Overall it's a great product. Well made, really soft and thick, easy to put on/take off, and it looks great!

Was a good product and great fit until he was able to chew zipper and ruined the product. Should place o Velcro or snap cover over plastic zipper. Don't recommend if your dog is a chewer

Lucy is a service dog and sometimes waits outside of stores/buildings...this jacket keeps her cozy while she's waiting. Also allows great freedom of movement for an active young dog who loves to play in the snow.

Finally! We've found a jacket that isn't too tight on her muscled chest and shoulders while still fitting her slender abdomen nicely. It is a bit tighter around the neck than I would prefer, but she doesn't seem to have any problems with that... and her small frame would just swim in the next size larger.

It fits him great, keeps him warm and he can run in it for hours! Definitely the best purchase I have made for him.

how ever i purchased the same sweater a year ago and that one seems like the fleece is of a heavier material ..the new climate changer definitly seems thinner ..i like it but i now will be looking else where for product .. see what happens when you try to scimp...

I bought this coat for our Weimaraner, size large, and it fits like a glove. On extremely cold days, I use it under the Ruffwear K-9 Overcoat I also recently purchased. I know he feels warmer and can actually enjoy our walks more on cold days.

These coats shed snow and keep my two high energy dogs from getting wet when they wrestle in the snow. They are easy to get on and off and the dogs get used to them quickly. I am very happy with them.

This is the 2nd Climate Changer we purchased. It goes on our 1mile walk twice a day. It keeps Bailey warm and fits him to a T, as all the Ruff wear products we have bought

I bought this coat in a Medium to use on each of three different sized dogs when I take them out... it's a little tight on my big, muscly 72lb pit (and a little short) but still works. Fits my older, 60lb pit great and is a little baggy on the 46lb Sussex Spaniel. The dogs love wearing it though and have learned to put their paws in the leg holes when I put the coat on the ground for them. Would definitely recommend this UNLESS your dog is long bodied at which point you may find it too short (we also ordered an XXS for our 10lb JRT mix and it was crazy-short on her)

I purchased this product, and we love it! It is awesome, came right in time; and now I must buy the Cloud Chaser and Bark'n Boots for him simply because they will protect him from our Pennsylvania snow and ice, and the salt that people use on the roads and sidewalks. Not to mention how great they are for him in the cold! Our Vizsla is pretty bare underneath, its just how his coat is; and these products really help our little buddy in the winter! Just arrived and I love them! Ordered according to the size guide, and even though I don't think of my 48lb Heeler mix as a small dog, it fits like a glove. Only thing I would change is the length of the XXS - it fits perfectly up front, but could be a bit longer to help keep the hips warm. Looking forward to taking the kids out hiking all winter!

We love the way this coat fits like a glove, keeping my little guy all toasty warm when his coat has been stripped. Only problem is that the puppy chewed off the end of the zipper! Oh well, it still keeps Connor warm.

Chip has little under coat so he gets cold in our snowy, icy, winter. If he must be in the car awhile or outside when it isn't too wet, this fleece warmy is perfect and he doesn't crawl out of it. Thanks for another great product.

This is a well made coat, but it's poorly proportioned for our 80lb German Shepherd. The large fits through the chest as it should, but the neck is very tight and the waist very loose. The main problem, however, is that the sleeve hems are very tight and quickly rubbed sores on the front of my dog's legs. I had to do a bit of field tailoring and cut them out. Sizing up might have solved these problems, but then the coat would have been super loose in the waist so it would have been a trade-off. I'd recommend this if the leg openings were much larger and higher up, and maybe a bit farther forward - not sure why this coat needs sleeves anyway.

Ruffwear is my go-to place now for all things dog. Know that I can count on great quality and haven't been disappointed. Love this fleece jacket!

The staff people were nice enough to send me the neck to hem measurements for the larger coat. It is hard to find something that fits my border collie, she is thin, but long, and most coats including other styles of ruffwear are a little short on her. We have the cloud chaser, that is great, but the climate changer is almost 2 inches longer, and gives her better coverage over the hips. The coats arrived in time of need, since we were affected by the storm and had no heat or electricity for a while, so the dogs were actually sleeping with the coats on. They are also able to run and do all sorts of activities without being bothered by them. And last, but not least, they have a sporty and ruff look, that comes in handy when you need to keep your working dogs warm. They look like working athletes ad opposed to spoiled pets :)

My dog has such short hair and I wanted something that would truly keep her warm instead of a coat that barely covered her back like most dog coats. I shopped around for quite awhile for something cheaper but decided to order the Climate Changer and I am so glad I did. It fits her well and covers her entire chest and zips up. It is very high quality. If you're debating on size, use the size chart to a T. My dog measured 26" chest and I went with the Medium thinking "she's not a small size dog" but I really should've gotten a small. It would have been more snug but I'm happy with it

A great sweater which I put under the K9 overcoat while Roadie patiently waits at the base of the ice climbs. Fits very well and easy to get on and off.

We have a 3 month old Vizsla puppy. Her name is Saylor. She has a ton of energy and loves the outdoors but hates the cold. This top is easy to put on her and keeps her warm in all our trips outdoors. When we are hiking and the sun drops she'll actually paw at my back pack until I put her fleece on. It makes the outdoors much more enjoyable for her at this time of year.

Normally one would not think an Aussie would need to wear a cozy coat (they are so fuzzy!). However, my dear girl has terrible allergies and, as a result, has lost a significant amount of her hair. I have been searching for a durable, comfortable and well made garment for her to wear during the colder months and I have finally found it. Living in Colorado, we have now had two snow storms since having the Climate Changer and I must say it has made all the difference in the world. It is extremely well made, does not bunch, fits well and looks nice. The stitching has a faint reflective quality so when it is low light outside it provides a great safety feature. The side zipper is extremely handy for taking it on and off and, so far, it has held up in the wash and every day living. I love the length and the dimensions on the website were spot on. My gal is approximately 40lbs with a 27" chest and the medium fits perfectly (with just a tad extra space around the neck). Overall, would HIGHLY recommend.

My little girl is 65 pounds. The jacket fits well and is easy to put on her. It seems to be really well made. One of the best purchases I have made for Lucy.

This is a great product that keeps my pup super warm. She absolutely loves it. My only complaint is she is so small (5 lbs) that her arms get stuck if she starts to run.

I am currently dealing with the destruction from hurricane sandy. Over 4 feet of flooding in my house, no heat, no hot water and no power with temperatures in 30's. Needless to say, it's been cold, especially on my 12 year old buddy's old bones. The climate changer has kept her super warm and I am so thankful for this amazing coat. This is a must for any dog owner in cold climates. It's very well made as well. I need to get another one soon cause this one is getting a little stinky since we don't have laundry! Superb product!!

Rusty is a 45 lb vizsla with a 26.5" chest and he fits perfectly into the small. The product does not affect his mobility at all when running and playing. Have had him out in the rain and it dries very easily. Simply hung it overnight and dry in the morning. The side zipper enables the jacket to be slipped on and off extremely easy. I couldn't be happier with it!

Bought a second of this coat when we got another dog. Fits perfect. Just the right warmth for a short haired dog when hiking in the winter. I like the new placement of the loop on the back...feels more secure.

The coats are very well made and fit the dogs perfectly. They were running around without any constrictions and they didn't seem uncomfortable with them on. Very easy to put them on. I love the zipper idea. Can't wait for the weather to get chillier so they can start using them!

The medium fit my neutered male without any "peepee" worries. Length was prefect. It is a awesome coat and he looks fantastic in it! Now he can go out to take care of business without shivering.

This jacket keeps our short haired dog warm! She is 60 lbs and wears a medium. This is the perfect fit and she loves having it on. We also purchased the life jacket last year which she uses also. She shows no sign of discomfort.

Buck is an 18lb Boston Terrier and the XS fits him great! The little guy gets cold at night when we're camping and this fleece is perfect, it fits snug and keeps the heat in. The only complaint I have about this product is the price $70 by the time you throw in shipping

We ordered these coats for a backpacking trip in the Canadian Rockies, as our two short haired dogs get chilly at night when camping, even in the tent and on the coast. The coats fit great - we got mediums for both dogs, and they fit well despite the fact that our staffie mix is a lot stockier than the other dog. They did a great job keeping the dogs warm and we could really feel the heat that was being trapped under the fleece! We will be bringing these on all of our camping trips from now on, and using them for snowshoeing this winter! LOVE Ruffwear products, they have never let us down!!

We have the smallest size boston terrier, she is about 12 Ilbs and the xxs size perfectly fits her. Although she is small, she loves going on hikes with us. In the cooler mountain air she is more comfortable. Thank you Ruffwear for the great product. For sure going to purchase more stuf!!

The large fits my 75lb doberman male very well. No binding in the chest or front legs, so absolutely no rubbing. The orange color looks great on him too (he's chocolate with rust accents). Perfect amount of warmth for his thin/short hair on cold mornings or days. Also rolls up well to fit in his approach pack.r
