December 19, 2006 (Bend, Ore.)—Ruff Wear, the leading manufacturer of gear For Dogs On The Go®, welcomes Lindsey Clark to its design team. Formerly based in New York City, Clark brings expertise in industrial design and material specification to Ruff Wear, where she will continue to create innovative products that satisfy the performance, fit and durability needs of the company’s canine - and human - consumers.

Ruff Wear is enthusiastic for Clark to evolve its product line in a fresh direction. “We are looking to use Lindsey’s product design background and materials knowledge to focus on the design concepts, as well as evolve and integrate the line with a consistent look,” states Niki Singlaub, Ruff Wear product manager.

A graduate of Parsons The New School for Design, Clark has utilized her Product Design degree as both a Materials Specialist and Product Design Manager. Clark has also integrated sustainability into her work, having designed dinnerware and glassware for the Sierra Club in addition to consulting on sustainable materials for product design and architecture. Her interest in environmentally friendly design practice parallels Ruff Wear’s mission to incorporate sustainability into its design and production.

“I am motivated to use my broad skill base as an industrial designer to create products that will enrich the daily lives of dogs and their human companions,” states Clark, “And our family dog, Kaya, is excited about becoming the newest member of the Ruff Wear product testing team.”
