Ruffwear Demo Sale Raises Money for Local DogPAC and Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts
Ruffwear, the leading producer of high performance dog gear, hosted their annual Demo Sale on November 7th. Customers and their pups lined up outside of the Bend, Oregon headquarters an hour before the sale started in the late afternoon for a chance to purchase slightly used demo gear at prices up to 75% off.
“This event was festive, put product into folks’ hands that can truly benefit and use while creating a financial resource for DogPAC to enhance our recreational opportunities locally in Bend, as well as assisting folks and four-leggeds impacted by Sandy on the East coast,” said Ruffwear’s founder Patrick Kruse after the event.
Ruffwear donated 100% of the proceeds to both DogPAC and Best Friends Animal Society – splitting the proceeds evenly between the two organizations. In addition to donating 50% of the proceeds, Ruffwear sent 26 fleece Climate Changer™ dog jackets to Best Friends to assist with their Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. To show their support of the relief efforts, FedEx stepped up and shipped all of the dog coats at no cost.
