Handsome Design

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I bought one for each of my two dogs. The collars and hardware look great. I wish there was some velcro to secure the slack. Also, it seems too easy to get a snag in the fabric, although they disappear when the fabric is pulled back and forth.

Great product

Great quality collar with some impressive features and excellent strength. Doubleback hardware doesn't slip. The small was quite big but other than that no complaints.

Not as great as I hoped

Would you recommend this product?.: No

Overall, this collar was a real let down for me. I've always been a fan of Ruffwear and have been impressed by the qualilty of the products. This collar, however, failed to live up to my expectations. We have had it for only a few weeks and it already has several runs in it. This is even after taking it off when my GSD is playing with other dogs. I'm disappointed and won't replace it once it goes (which I'm sure won't take long.) It's a great concept, but the material just isn't up to par.

Good and Bad

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

Overall we love the collar (bought 2). The color is great, the "doubleback" is cool and seems to stay put. We love the tag/leash seperation too. However, although it is very well made, the material is thing; we have already found numerous tooth punctures in both collars (less than 2 months old) so we're a little worried that these will last. Overall great, but for that price, I'd expect these to be a thicker/more durable than the $5 collars we had from PetCo.

Good quality

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I am a huge fan of Ruffwear. The collar is strong and I enjoy having the tags separate from where you attach the leash. My wife loves the look of it (she cares more about form than function) and I appreciate the strength. Unfortunately, I bought this collar right before they released the headwater collar. My dog loves the water and the collar will need to be washed pretty consistently. We have also had a few runs in the nylon, but my dog wears collars hard.

Best Collar Ever

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

This is the first collar that I have found that will hold up to my three dogs, and won't rust. Since my dogs swim every day in the salt water I was buying three new collars about ever 2-3 months, they were rusting and would turn the dog's necks red. I have had these for over a year and they still look as good as the day I bought them!

Exactly what I had hoped for

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I love this collar. It is really high quality and looks great. The metal fittings are really hefty and strong. The loop for the leash is a bit hefty for the clip on my old leash but works perfectly with the Ruff Wear Knot-a-long leash that I got. Also, I love the second loop for the tags. Over all this collar hasn't let us downat all.

This collar is very light weight and strong, but I wish they still made the chain reaction collar. I really miss those. They where the best.

Very easy to use and high quality

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I love the large clip for the leash and that there is a separate clip for dog tags. It is of durable material. It does not slip off when put on correctly, but must is difficult to put on a dog who will not sit still because they are trying to lick your face. I wish it was just a little smaller, but I think the next size down would be too small.

Durable and functional

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

All 3 dogs now sport the DoubleBack. My chocolate lab likes to carry collars around before we go on our walk and she kept biting the plastic buckles and breaking them- not a problem with these. These collars wash and wear great. My only complaint would be that my black lab is a little crazy and she knows how to back out of the collar if it is too loose. She then runs around screaming with joy. Literally screaming. Not so fun.

Utter rubbish

Would you recommend this product?.: No

Our pup put a series of runs in the nylon in this collar after less than 24 hours of wearing it. This is getting returned, and we're going back to the cheapie from the local pet store. This is hugely disappointing.

Peace of Mind but slight flaws

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I love the Hoopie Collar, but in some important situations I have had it pop right off. So the DoubleBack Collar definitely makes me feel confident that it will stay. However, the material is a bit thinner than I'd hope, and the plastic tag holder seems quite flimsy-ly stitched on. But the biggest issue I have is that since the collar is completely looped back and through, any extra length of the collar will just flap around in the air. Since it is decently long for my aussie, it drives him nuts, and he'll chew it. Just something to keep in mind..

Very Nice Product

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

Great for being infinietly adjustable. But it does have a tendency to loosen so it needs to be checked every so often. And I question why they didn't use metal hardware throughout. If the plastic part that keeps the tag end had teeth, the collar might not loosen.

I have had many type of flat collars and this one out performs all of them. I never have to worry about the collar getting to tight or loose throughout the whole day. I see no reason to buy anything else

works great!

I got this collar after my dog broke loose out of the hoopie collar when a squirrel caught her attention. It does take a little more work to get it off and on but it is worth the peace of mind to know that it will not come apart. Still working on ignoring the squirrels....
