DoubleBack™ Leash
strong and secure
DESCRIPTION

Got a big, strong puller? This leash, designed for safety and durability, is the perfect solution.

No plastic anywhere - it's got a screw-gate locking carabiner instead for a secure collar connection, and an aluminum buckle to adjust leash length. A padded handle cushions and disperses force.

Available in three colors to match the DoubleBack™ Collar.

KEY FEATURES
  • Screw-gate locking carabiner for a secure collar connection
  • Soft (yet strong) tubular webbing with padded handle
  • Aluminum buckle adjusts leash length
  • Quick-grab traffic handle for extra control when needed
INTENDED USE

Peace of mind for dog owners who have strong pullers that can break away from traditional plastic-buckled leashes.

Strong, light, secure, handle lacking

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

Locking carabiner works great and adds peace of mind after traditional clasp opened during basic use. Webbing is light and easy to fold to shorten and hold in hand. Close control loop is great. I'm not a fan of the handle itself. The padding impedes function. A smaller locking carabiner would be great to allow attaching to packs, ray
Ings, chairs, etc. This leash would be great in a European style shoulder-normal-short-attach to object combo with this webbing and carabiners.

Great. Worried about the lightness.

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I just bought this leash today. I LOVE the look and construction of it. I can make the loop long to cross it over my body, long with a regular handle, or short on me and it reaches my chihuahua's height! The light clip even works for the little guys. I'm concerned that the lightness of the leash material won't withstand stress or regular abuse because it seems so thin. But maybe that's the beauty of Ruff Wear! Durable and light and convenient? I hope so! Ruff Wear has FANTASTIC products. I never mind paying a high price for quality when it comes to my dogs. I can't wait fo purchase more Ruff Wear.

GREAT for sleddog pulling strength!!!

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I can handle both my huskies at the same time easily with these leashes. The dogs play tug-of-war with their leashes with each other all the time, and they haven't punctured the leashes! I love the comfort of the handle as well as being able to put them on a "short leash" when I need to. This new style of caribiner is strong and the locking device works great!!!

Okay, but nothing to write home about.

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

We purchased this leash for our dog two months ago. As a former shelter dog, he is quite anxious, especially around new people and places. Our recent trip to the vet was an adventure to say the least. The leash accidently slipped off my arm while trying to lure the dog into the vet with an abundance of treats and I quickly stomped my foot down on top of the leash to prevent the dog from bolting. He tried to run, but the leash was secured under my foot. The end result: half of the webbing was completely sliced thru. Typically, webbing is quite stout and can take a little abuse, so you can imagine my dismay when the leash was rendered practically useless after mild abuse. As an avid outdoors couple we loved the concept for this leash, but the design and materials need a little work. We'd give it a C (based on durability). We're willing to give RuffWear another go, but next time we'll try the Knot-A-Leash.

Strong and light

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I use this leash when i am in crowded or busy areas, and it works great. The color are nice too. A swivel would be nice but I think it would make it a weaker leash.

Needs a swivel to prevent twist

Would you recommend this product?.: No

Bought the leash and collar, and both are durable and very good looking. The leash twist a lot. Without a swivel connection at the bottom near the caribeaner, this leash is annoying.

Needs to Spin to work

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

Good Looking, but problems with twisting this leash would work if the Locking was able to spin to avoid the leash from twisting. you will have to do a lot of adjusting even over the shoulder and around the waist its even more twisting of this flat leash, not parctical.

Terrific!

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

We have a strong dog that pulled, then we took her to training. This leash is wonderfully lightweight and incredibly strong when she does still pull. And although I've had leather leashes that snapped when she pulled, this one holds fast. I also appreciate good design, and this leash has nice details including the clasp that is lockable, and the open loop near the collar when you need to keep your pup close to you when walking.

Great Set

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I got this leash with the double-back collar. Having this leash with me, with a 80lb Glab, downtown NYC was a great idea. I felt like I had superior control over the dog, either on a long leash or with the shorten control near the collar end of this leash. What a great idea to have another handle down low. I love the locking clip to ensure a difficult encounter trying to steal my dog. Also with the clip, it allows me to short type my dog around my leg to prevent a wandering service dog in the restaraunt. Great product.
