Nice comfortable collar, well built, easy to attach leash. Like the tag ring being separate

I have had several of these collars. I have the matching leash which I love...so i keep replacing the collar. Although this collar lasted longer than the old version it inevitably tore. It seems to snag on the smallest thing and then it spreads into a large tear. Love the design and the spare tag ring but I think I now give up.

The old hoopie collar used to snag and rip easily and I went through several of them. It appears the new version has some kind of coating perhaps that makes it a bit stiffer but it hasn't snagged and I've had this for about 6 months! Love the separate tag ring :)

We wore this collar for about 3 months before a little dog tug of war got the best of the loop that the tags go on. It doesn't look like this loop was attached well, perhaps it should be sewn on? Luckily I didn't lose the tags.

Hoop for the tags is not secure compared to an older model of this collar that I still have. After 3 months of usage it came off leaving the tags on the ground ! It appears that the hoop is only held on my glue.

I wanted a collar with a clasp for opening and closing (rather than the slip over the head type) and I love the two different attachment points for tags and leash. This collar is exactly what I was looking for and I never see her scratching at it...happy dog, happy owner.

The sisters wrestle in their spacious play area and grab each others collars. The wire tags loop with the collars stretched too far. We replaced the wire tags loop with a stronger small steel key loop.

I buy all collars and leashes from Ruffwear. They last for ever, wash well and are stylish.

Not only do I like the look of this collar but it's light weight around Sady's neck. My other 2 favorite features are the tag sliencer and the extra loop for her leash. I highly recommend this product plus it's good looking!

Along with the quality, I like the vairety of colors. I chose the Klikitat Orange

I really like the collar. My 2 favroite things are the fact the tags do not make any noise and the sturdy clip for the leash. Of course the fact that it is sassy looking is an added bonus.

Love this collar because while it's strong, it very lightweight. Because of that, it doesn't break the hair on my boxer's neck. Also the positioning of the clip for the leash is perfect, leaving the tags to hang down where they belong. Would love more designs.

This collar is great. I've had it for a year on one of my border collies and it has held up to everything. It looks good, wears good and is built well. Highly reccomended.

fits well, the rubber tag quiter really works well and made the middle of the night head shakes a lot quitter.

Love the colors and feel of the collars; easy to adjust and don't seem to bother our girls. We have not had them long enough to see any problems with snagging.....the only downside at this point is the hoop for the tags seems to be very flimsy so we hooked their tags onto the metal loop (which is supposed to be used for attaching the leash)

I love RuffWear. I love the philisophy behind the gear, I love the look, and their products stand up to the wear and tear of active dogs. Well, typically stand up to the wear and tear... except in the case of of the Hoopie collars. I like the look, feel, and lightness of the collars, but they are easily snagged in normal activities such as urban walks, wearing in house, scratching neck...

I bought the Lotus version of this collar because it was attractive and very lightweight and flexible. Bulldogs have lots of extra skin around their necks and I wanted a collar that would easily fold and not irritate. The flexibility and lightweight material are the biggest downsides to this collar. It immediately began to catch on things and snag. The threads of the lotus pattern caught and tore on ordinary things in the house and it was a balled-up mess. It lasted about 4 months.

Over the years we have had several collars but when we came across these that was it! I like like the easy adjustment and how easily it snaps on and off. My favorite part or the best feature the separate hanger for the tags so they do not get mixed in with he leash! I have looked at many other brands...this is the only one with this feature. We are getting a German Shepard so I think this will be a great feature for him as well!

These 2 collars were mailed to my daughter in Billings MT. I had purchased one years before and knew they were good collar and the dogsloe them.

This collar is so great! Unlike most collars, this one has tubular webbing, so it doesn't have a scratchy top and bottom. The ID tag attachment (which comes on all Ruffwear collars) is fabulous, and it makes a HUGE difference. Guinness usually hates wearing collars, but he doesn't even notice that this one is on. I've only had it for about 2 months, and it seems to be holding up just fine durability-wise. The only negative thing I have to say about this collar is that it holds onto dirt, so it's harder to keep clean.

Does not get smelly like other collars do. Please make more styles for girls!!

Colors are great and it is light in weight but ruggied. The plastic tab helps to keep his tags from making to much noise.

Just got this collar in green and love it! Went hiking and camping with it the first day and Love the tag tab so no noise, adjustable, not to thick of nylon so it will dry out quickly. And great price

This product is simply not durable if your dog likes to play outdoor. Bought one for each of our Labs and both are starting to come apart after only 2 months of use. Expected more from this product.

I had read all of the great reviews for this product, but was disappointed by the overall durability of this collar. My dog enjoys being outside, but is much more of a sunbathe on the deck kind of guy than a tearing through the woods dog so I've never really had a problem with him wearing out collars before. The nylon of this collar snagged easily and in less than a month of wear. The nylon is also thin and the collar often needed to be tightened over time. I love the separate tag and leash clips and I even tried a different style Ruff Wear collar, but the nylon snagged on that collar as well... In only 2 months.

Have almost every item in collars n leashes..Only Ruffwear for our MAIZIE . Excellent products...

I love the large V-ring to clip to, makes it easy to get the leash on. I have not had time to wash it yet but so far is handling the swimming and dirt well.

This is a great collar; durable, functional and nice-looking too. Our dog is tough on hers--hiking, swimming, camping--this collar stands the test. Easily washable. Hazel wears the lotus motif--I really wanted to find a collar that was feminine enough so that people stopped telling me what a handsome boy I had, but without having her wear hot pink and purple all the time. This fits the bill--feminine but not 'girly'. Tag silencer is great and I've only found one small snag on it thus far and this after months of rough wear. Very pleased with the product.

Love how easy this is to put on or off. I especially appreciate that there is a separate tag loop so the tag and leash aren't in the same space. The collar is easy to apply and easy to remove.

I have 2 very active Vizslas. We go off trail quite a bit and they constantly dive off into the underbrush to chase anything that moves. I have not had the issues that other users have complained about. This is my third one of these collars and they have recently changed the material that the collar is made of. The plus is that the material is harder to snag, but the downside is that it is a bit more slick, and I do have to tighten up the collar about once every 1-2 weeks. This new material may have addressed some of the concerns of the people that gave the collar lower stars.

The adjustment buckle is difficult to manipulate, i.e a loop forms under the buckle.

My dog is also a service dog. The Hoopie is his off-duty collar. He has been hiking in it, swimming, into shrubbery and we have no problems. The material has not unraveled, no snags, still looks great. And my dog will get into anything, he's quite adventurous. Love the separate attachment for his tags.

Finally found a collar that does not irritate my white and brown pibble's sensitive neck! The red looks great on her and does not chafe her neck like collars with metal buckles do. This collar is a keeper! I only wish I had found it sooner.

The collar is lightweight and seems to be quite comfy to wear.

Just got the Hoopie Collar and I love the separate attachment for tags. What a difference! Colors are great and the Klickitat looks wonderful on my Chocolate Lab with matching Flat Out Leash!

This is a wonderful collar and the perfect size for our 30 lb doodle! These are very durable collars and the color doesnt fade. I've had a couple of Ruffwear collars and I love how well they hold up, and no matter how hard the dog pulls, there is no stretching or breaking.

The small size is the perfect width for my little dog - so many other smaller size collars are very narrow, which must be rather uncomfortable and dig into the neck. I love the lack of tag noise interfering with quiet country walks. The only thing I would change about the design is the buckle - it would be a better fit around the neck if it was curved rather than straight.

I love the quality and designs of this collar so much that Im sure it will continue to be the main collars that my dogs wear. Super fun designs and very easy to adjust while not stretching out despite daily visits to the lake.

My buddy, Big Al, is 87 lbs. and hikes daily in the Colorado mountains. His new Ruffwear collar has proven to be sturdy and comfortable. He loves it and I think he looks great wearing it!

I got the cascades design for my corgi; it's not our usual collar, I use the Knot-a-just mostly, but this is a good collar for times when you want an extra beefy product (hiking, etc) that can also stand out more (since the knot-a-just settles in the fur - can't see it well). The tag silencer is nice too!

I love the look and features of this collar. However, with very little use it starts to unravel. I use it just for her ID and walk her with a harness. I exchanged the last one about a week ago and it's already unravelling! This is the third collar that did this. Needs to be more durable!! Disappointed :( Love all my other Ruffwear products!

Em and I are both very finicky about collars. I don't like anything hard on the neck, and ususally use a martingale or let her be naked. This collar is very comfortable on her, and I love love love the texture of it! A+!

Ruffwear has simply the best dog gear available. Although the price is steep (especially after shipping costs) I am a true believer in you get what you pay for. The fit and finish of the Hoopie collar is great...my only suggestion would be a broader color / style selection...

This is our second Hoopie collar. Hudson outgrew his first one, and the looks and durability of the first influenced us to order the next size. It's a good looking collar and we like the small details like the tag silencer. We would buy another, but i think he has stopped growing!

I've had this collar for a month now and have ben impressed by the quality. The separate attachment point for a leash is a great idea; if you;ve ever mistakenly connected the leash to the ring attaching the dog's tags, you understand exactly why. The tag silencer is an excellent yet unexpected bonus. No jingling! This kind of thinking is what make Ruffwear awesome. I have always been leary of the snap-together collars, but I tried breaking it apart by hand and it wouldn't budge. It requires positive pressure on the buckle to disengage. I am confident it cannot be inadvertantly unbuckled.

This collar can sure take a beating and live to tell the tale! I started with one for my Lab and went back and purchase three more to rest of my crew.

We have no complaints with this collar. Love the metal attachment point, love the silencer and the plastic buckle is strong and easy to operate. If people are having trouble with the buckle not staying locked, it may be because they are allowing dog hair to get tangled in it and that allows it to slip open.

This is not a bad collar, don't get me wrong. PROS: I love the metal ring and the tag silencer. Fits him nicely CONS: Snags like NO OTHER! My 13 pound yorkie likes to prance through the brush and that snagged his collar. At first I figured that it was just because of the bushes so I didn't allow him back in. Now it snags just from him scratching (not very often). Sadly I will not be buying another one of these collars.

My dog is a loyal Hoopie wearer. After rolling in something special that permanently fouled her last Hoopie she received a fresh one for Christmas. She was very pleased by the new anti-jingle tab and the beefer leash attachment point.

I bought the cascades style collar for our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy. Very sturdy and it has helped up great with all the dog playing around here!

Thie is the 4th version of this collar I've bought for my Silkey terrier "Joey". Love the fact that there is a separate spot to clip his tags on to. It's strong and sturdy (seems to be even more so in this latest edition). His last one was a couple of years old and he just needed something new for Chirstmas. Great quality of products - not cheap but you get what you pay for.

We've been using it for a week only, so i can't say if it is durable yet. I'm happy so far. It looks very pretty, the separate tag ring is ingenious, it is also a very light collar, I think my dog likes it! The leash attachment ring is convenient. The buckle seems tough, though my dog doesn't have a habit to pull a lot.

We have used this collar on one of our dogs for over a year. It still looks great! We have backpacked a number of times and swim with it on a couple times a week. It is holding up great.

First I bought the rope collars, and the clip broke. Then i bought these, and the one clip keeps coming unclipped. I love the Ruff Wear Jackets but their collars have been a waste of money.

My kid-with-fur is now sporting the topo color pattern with her Knot-a-Leash or her Quick Draw Leash, and I couldn't be happier. Like other reviewers, I really appreciate the tag silencer and the alternate location for tags, although my pup gets to be "naked" in the house, which means she only dons the collar and leash when we head outside. I am very satisfied with this and the other Ruffwear products I've purchased!

We've had this collar for several weeks now and it works great for our 65lb/8.5 month old puppy. He's pulled extremely hard on it (sled dog mode!) and the plastic buckle hasn't ever come apart.

This collar is cute and well made but the metal ring that attaches to leash has a smaller than normal opening and my dog gets his back toe nails stuck in it when he scratches his neck. Now he only wears his collar when he goes outside and is supervised.

Just got this along with the matching Flat Out Leash. Bought it in the Klickitat pattern which is really stunning on a dark colored dog. The rubber tag silencer is great too!

Looks great. Good construction. D-ring is a great feature and the rubber silencer for the tag works wonders as well.

I bought this collar for my 14-year old beagle. I loved the collar and the tesarate hook for tags. He sometimes scratches at his collar, but not to an excessive degree. Within four days, the collar fabric was shredding and splitting. I took the collar back to the store where I bought it; they called Ruffwear who REFUSED to refund my money or even replace it. The store went ahead and refunded my money, because they care about customer service. I will never buy another Ruffwear product.

I bought both our dogs this collar and it has been awesome for both! Great at reducing noise with all their tags. Colors and styles are great and fit really well.

I love this collar! not only does it look really great, it works really well and I would definately reccomend this collar to my friends. The only minor inconvienence is the color faded and gave my Dal a pink ring around the neck. But Ruffwear was happy to replace it.

I bought this collar for both of my dogs. I noticed after a week of wear that my one dog's collar hap pulls all over it. This evening, I noticed that the other one is the same with pulls, but worse. I usually like ruffwear gear and had a collar for years that was great. These are not durable at all and are a wast of money!

I have purchased many Ruff wear products and love to support local businesses but Olive only wore her collar one day and it was ruined. She snagged it several times just simply running around in the yard through my landscape. The material is so fragile I am so disappointed as I really loved the print. She also has a life jacket and the all terrain boots and those all work great. This is the second time we had an issue with a collar. :-(

I ordered the Cascades collar for my blue heeler. We walk her with a harness so the strength of the collar will likely never be tested. I like the look and design of the collar.

My dog is in out of the water and forest. The collar after one hike, at tears in the threading which eventually separated. It's not a good collar for the backcountry. Especially if your dog goes off trail.

Love the color and pattern. I have 3 old hoopie collars that are 5-10 years old and I switched the new one out for one of the old ones. The new ones are thinner and wider. The old ones LAST and are made a bit sturdier. I love the leash clip and the tag clip separate which is why I will always have a hoopie collar of some sort.

This is a great collar. The band is wide enough to provide control but not too thick or bulky. Love the size of the leash attachment, makes it easy to find. The aussie has one, need to buy one for our Leo next.

Hoopie Collar is also a favorite of mine since I could not get the Top Rope collar for a while I started using this collar. I've got to say, it's almost as nice as the Top Rope Collar and in some ways I like it better. The leash attachment point is always easy to hook up to but not always at the top. What I like better is that the buckle isn't weighted which I assume is more pleasant for the dogs (although I never saw anything to indicate an issue with the Top Rope).

I absolutely LOVE this collar!! My puppy got lost for 9 hours and when we found her she still had her collar on despite having been running through the woods with tons of ways for the collar to fall off! I highly recommend!

This is a great lightweight but very durable dog collar. I ended up buying 3 styles because the colors are so bright and fun for summer. Easy to put on/take off the dogs as my pugs don't wear their collars indoors.

We bought a large, Hoopie collar for our Newfie pup 1-1/2 years ago. Its size range was amazing and it fit him all the way through to almost his adult size. But sadly he has now outgrown your "large" size. Just wish you had an XL !

RuffWear makes great products and this collar is no different. The separate id tag attachment is ingenious - no more lost tags! I've accidentally clipped a leash into the tag loop before with other collars, but that hasn't happened since I purchased the Hoopie.

My dog and I are very please with this item we love the colars bought 2. One to swim in and one to keep dry and 'clean'. One comment to ruffwear a 10% coupon to keep folks returning would be good for your business! I'd be a more frequent repeat customer :)

Survived our dogs pull test, looks nice on her even with her thick coat (lies nicely and perfect width) and I love how easy it is to find and clip the lead on. Colours are vibrant too. Perfect!
