July 1, 2004 (Bend, Ore.) - In a world traditionally dominated by 60-plus pound labs and other large breeds, Ruff Wear athlete, Clementine, a 28-pound Australian Cattle Dog Mix, has been competing with the "big dogs." Recently, Clem has begun to receive national media attention for her abilities to jump outwards of over 20 feet in DockDog Big Air events. The small canine has even recorded three jumps over 23 feet. Clementine is one of only 14 dogs in history to have ever accomplished this and the canine world has taken notice.

Clem's affinity for water traces back to her roots. She was rescued from a lake near Fargo, North Dakota two years ago and has been competing ever since. In addition to DockDog competitions, Clem has also excelled in Disc, Sheepherding and Agility events. When she's not training with her human companion, Nadja Palenzuela, in Stanford, Conneticut, Clementine enjoys playing and the occasional run through the woods near her home.
