June 3, 2004 (Bend, Ore.) - Dogs and discs flying through the air was the scene at this year's annual Purina Incredible Dog Challenge in San Francisco on May 29th and 30th. Ruff Wear "athlete," Galaxy, grabbed first place at the West coast regional event securing her a spot at the National Disc Dog Challenge in St. Louis in October. Appropriately named, this pointer/boarder collie mix vaulted upwards of 10 feet into the air off of her human, J.D. Platt's back and chest to snatch a flying disc. The duo also performed a series of acrobatic tricks for a rapturous crowd. The event will air on NBC Sports and PAX.
