This is a very nice, easy to use leash. Perfect for taking our dog out when she needs to "go" and great to use for those quick trips. Great quality.

Just doubled the number of these slip leads we have on hand. Wrote a previous review on 9/19/11. Hands down the best for secure handling of giant breed rescues who are usually not leash trained, & many are traumatized. This allows us to get them to safety without fail.

I use these to run my clients' dogs. Sometimes dog owners do not fasten collars properly and the regular collar could easily slip over the dog's head. I can always rest assured that the dog is not going to escape when I use the Just a cinch leash.

Simple and easy leash to use for quick walks and/or training sessions. The rope itself is sturdy, and the "stay" keeps the opening from becoming too big when there is slack on the leash. I personally prefer this type of leash over my halty-collar because my dog does not resist wearing this one, but this still allows me to control her.

For a quick out of the pocket Ruffwear answer to leashing your dog in need to situations. My only issues would be with simplicity of materials & cost for cinch leashes need not be of this quality.

Our trainer recommend Just-a-Cinch. I ordered two. They work great!! The leash confortable in you hand. It goes on fast & doesn't fall off.

This product makes training so much easier and walks with other people with dogs much calmer.

I think I like this leash. My dog pulls hard so I use a harness when we go for our regular runs but this one is great to have around when we run off leash but need to get back on quickly

We are a Great Pyrenees Rescue & need a slip lead/leash all in one that is sturdy. Most of our dogs are sweethearts, but some rescues are feral & have never had a leash on. Without fail most weigh over 100 lbs. We have purchased other brands but this one is the best we have found. We have to know that we can hold them, no matter what. We got the name of your product from another large dog rescue & from a rescue transporter.

I love these leashes, I purchased 2, just to see how they would fit into my line of work, excellent.I have total control, the dogs love them, there comfortable, I love the little adjuster on the leash to control the dog walking out of the leash, Im definatley in the market for another dozen, and would never go back to the old leash and collar Would like to see a shorter version same style.for the larger guys to keep them closer

Leash laws in AZ- hard on 2 dogs used to running free in the blue ridge mtns of virginia! These leashes are easy on their necks-comfortable for me even when walking my large energetic bluetick hounds at the same time.

THIS IS THE BEST I HAVE FOUND AND I HAVE USED MANY. THE LEASH MAKES WALKING MUCH EASIER.

I love this leash more than anything, but my kids are always out hiking and it's a pain to carry four of these things on the trail. I'm thinking I'll get the Quick Draw Leash to remedy this, but these will be reserved for times when we really need a leash. You really can't beat them... just as secure as a Martingale collar. Speaking of, when are you guys going to make a Martingale???????

The First Time I used this leash the difference was Night & Day! No choking and so much easier to control my dog.

This is my second purchase of this slip lead. It is outstanding. I suggest a little tougher material where the hand loop is sewn and sturdyer stiching.

We use these at the Humane Society so our volunteers can walk any dog, no matter how poorly they walk on a leash, and not have to worry about anyone slipping their collar and getting away. It's also nice for our volunteers to be able to grab a cinch and a dog and go! No need to look for the right size choke chain, then a leash. Its all in one!

I volunteer at a large shelter here in St. Louis. This leash was recommened to me by one of the rescue personnel. I used hers and was sold. I have been very pleased with mine and definately recommend it. I would like to see you make a smaller one for those of us who also have to handle smaller dogs. This is perfect for the mid to large size dogs we deal with though.

I absolutely LOVE this leash! The ability to correct my dog without having him wear a collar is great. This leash is extremely durable and I definately beat it up over the past 2 years with hiking, muddy terrain, and the ever changing weather of New England. I recently purchased a second one after 2 years. I still use the original, but it looks really beat up from the mud and occasional chewing from my dog :) so the new leash is for when me and my boy go into town for errands ;) I will always own at least one of these leashes at all times!

Originally bought 3 leashes 6 years ago. Bored dog chewed up one. Others finally started showing wear and replaced. Love the increased reflective yrns. Best control for STRONG dogs. Great handle loop.

My wish, as others have stated, is for Ruff Wear to offer different lengths. Aside from that I will pretty much echo what has already been said about the quality and ease-of-use of this product, as well as all the other Ruff Wear products I own. I typically don't keep collars on my dogs when they're around the house, so Ruff Wear's Just-a-Cinch leads are the way to go for my dogs and I.

The stiffness of the cord facilitates putting the leash on and taking it off. This is a wonderful aid, as we train our rescue dog. It helps me to feel safe while handling our new girl.

This is my go to lead for short walks or when I take the pup with me around town in the car. Easy to snap her out of her car harness and slip this over her head and be able to take her out wherever and be in absolute control. She seems to stay at a heal better without a fight when using this lead as well.

This is the 2nd Just a Cinch for us so now I use them on each dog. Really simple to use and control (of my 130 lb big boy, Zak) great!

after waiting numerous days for deliver, I am disappointed in quality of material. Does not seem strong enough. My cinch locking piece slides/slips out of place and dog is able to get out

I love this leash, It is sturdy and good quality. It is very easy to slip on and off and it doesn't get stuck, slides very easily. I highly recommend getting this.

Love the ease of the lasso. Use when going out for a quick walk or when off leash. When my pups see the loop, they happily put their noses in and off we go!

Got this to use at agility and flyball, but also works well with my smaller dog, who is a puller. Very nice leash, would buy again. Would be nice if there was some choice of lengths.

again, I wish you had this leash available in a 30-36 inch length or a 48 inch overall length as most of us with service dogs like the shorter leashes better as can get better control and keeps our service dog right at our side/hip. But I think I might order one anyway; but I would be much happier with a shorter one.

Slip collars tend to slip down Misha's neck or get caught in her ruff (no pun intended - lol). Received the collar today and took her immediately on a walk and it was poetry in motion. She was sensitive to the subtle corrections - no pulling here

Got the product to use on the agility field...it's been great!

Easy to use and especially at night. Keeps me from having to bend over to place on my girl after she has been out on a run. Very comfortable handle--best I ever had.

Purchased this leash as an easy way to leash the dogs for travel and quick potty breaks. We recently moved half-way around the wrold and needed to be able to leash them quickly putting them in and out of crates and taking them to relieve themselves. I like it for that.

We use a pinch collar for regular walking; they just need that level of control - but for travel this is an excellent tool.

Our dogs love to run free, so keeping them reigned-in is hard. With this leash we can control them without neck injuries.

This is my favorite leash. It is durable and ready to use in a cinch. The dogs do well on this leash. I don't like having a collar on them all the time, so having a leash that is ready to go, is perfect. I have purchased many of these since having dogs and I am always pleased with their durability.

I use this for the quick trips outside with the new puppy. It's great to be able to slip it over her head and not have to fumble looking for the ring in the middle of the night. The reflector ribbon is great too. And it's stood up so far to some serious chewing from a puppy.

This leash has been great with our 115lb boy, he walks much better on it than other leashes and its really comformtable for us to walk him with it. More color options would be great!!

the just-a-cinch leash has brought sanity and calmness to chaotic walks with our pointer mix. The leash is long enough to have the dog on your right side and have the leash over your left shoulder so the handle is elbow high. this allows for great control of the dog. She loves it and is relaxed & at peace while walking!

Overall a good leash. The only issue I have with it is that my dog is still learning to stay on one side while walking and still pulls. Not RuffWear's fault, but with that the leash seems to demonstrate one design flaw. When the dog does a lot of side to side, the leash doesn't rotate. The material becomes bunched up at the top and I have to pull it back into place. Otherwise it's a good leash.

I can really keep control of Gus with this leash, and it's strong and beautiful. We're ready to go in a flash!

i really like this style leash and the vet and behaviorist thought it was just the right kind for training; i agree that i'd like to see this offered in more colors.

We have bought several of these leashes and we love them. They are so easy to use and they wash up nice. We are very active with our dogs so these leashes get a lot of use. They are so easy to slip off when it's time for them to run free at the park. We can get good control over the dogs by cinching the leash up around the top part of their necks when needed. This is a great product, period.

I've had a purple Ruffwear Just-a-Cinch for several years. Here to get a couple of more, and would love to see more color options added. This product is set apart from the other brands because of the padded handle, cinch that does not slip, and the quality of the rope. Thanks for a great product!

Great construction, a superior lead that stays high on my dog's neck for excellant control. I would certainly buy more products given this one.

I really like the leash but wish my dogs would obey better on them :-) They do need training but after we let them run free they behave much better on the leash . I like the way it feels and how easy it is to handle.

Easy to slip on and off, without messing around with a clip, Darby actually lifts his head to let it be slipped on. Enough of a choke without harshness of a chain.

This leash is the only way to go with my 5 year old male pit. He likes to pull and tends to choke himself when i use a leash and collar set up. I am ordering my second leash today. Can not live without it!!

Humane Assoc. staff uses this leash full time. Extremely durable and useable for a variety of sized dogs and levels of training. Used in training classes. Most volunteers use this leash also. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Super great leash. Dogs go through clicker training and leash is high useable with all dogs, all ages.

Our 6 month old Golden is a people person, which meant every time he would see someone, he nearly chokes himself to death to pull towards them. Our breeder suggested an English lead - and from what I can tell, this is it. After two days, I can see an improvement. Love that it sits higher on his neck and does not cause the choking as much. Highly recommend!!!

I love my leash (and so does my dog!). A nice bonus is the reflectivity of it... I walk in the evenings and it is really obvious. I expect it to last a long time. Wish I could get this same choker style in the Knot-a-Long type.

We've had this leash for about a month and a half now and couldn't be happier. Although very durable, the leash itself is quite light and very easy to run with. Definately something we'll look to replace after years of use.

Before I got this leash, I always looped the old leash through the handle to make a cinch so I could have more control over my dog. It never worked very well. When I finally found this product, it was exactly what i had been looking for. The no-slip tab keeps the collar part on very well. I love this leash! I'll be using it everyday when I go backpacking or hiking!

This is my second one. I believe a co-worker stole my first one, which we had for years. I can't blame whoever took it. It's the best leash ever, especially for my old dog who doesn't wear a collar.

Overall, this is the best product I have found that will maintain the leash high up on my dog's neck, and it seems much more humane than a choker chain, too. I love it!

I like these leashes. They're excellent quality and I see them lasting for a very, very long time. I really like the stay that it has. So many similar leashes lack that, and this one really does stay. The only thing I was say against it, is that these leashes are really long. Much longer than I was expecting.

So much easier than a collar and a leash.... My dog rarely wears a collar, so this leash makes going on excursions a breeze.

I got my first one 10 years ago and couldn't find anything as good. That first one is still going strong I just want a second one for the car and travel. We do off leash activities so this allows me to get her in quickly when I need to .

Perfect leash- I own three and want to buy more. They wear like iron yet are soft on the hands, are an ideal length, and perfect for agility trials and other collarless situations. I have a few slip leads from different manufacturers and this leash is the absolute best.

This is a great leash and is very easy to use. The dogs don't seem to mind the leash at all. The leash washes up easily. We've had 2 leashes for 2 years through daily walks and weekend hikes. We are getting the girls new leashes for Christmas so we can keep the old ones for muddy hikes.

We have 4 of these and they are the toughest leashes I've ever had. Love them! Appreciate the addition of reflective fabric in the leash. We don't use them as a 'clincher', we added a carabiner that clips into their collars.
