Ease of mind for mom, easier swimming for pup
We have 2 dogs that we bought float coats for. One is an 11 year old beagle who LOVES to swim, but I fear her getting tired quickly. The other is a 3 year old mix who is still learning to swim & panic splashes. These life jackets have made water activities so much less stressful. I don’t have to worry about the beagle getting as tired and the mix pup is becoming increasingly confident with the extra support. Plus, the handles make it easy to assist if we need to pull either out of the water quickly!

The Ultimate Adventure Life Jacket—Worth Every Penny!
We have owned this Ruffwear life jacket for over three years now for our girl, Luna, and it is hands-down some of the best gear we’ve ever bought. Luna is a strong natural swimmer, but this jacket gives us total peace of mind during our summers filled with boating and swimming.
If you are on the fence because of the price tag, don’t hesitate. Here is why it is absolutely worth the investment:
The Ultimate Safety Handle: This is the standout feature for us. The handle on top is incredibly sturdy. We frequently use it to hoist Luna right up onto the boat from the water, or to lift her safely in and out of trailers. It supports her weight perfectly without straining the jacket or making her uncomfortable.
High-Visibility in the Water: Even for a great swimmer, being easy to spot is crucial. The visibility this jacket provides in open water is excellent, letting us keep an eye on her at all times.
Insane Durability: Over the last three years, this jacket has been through it all. It has braved both freshwater lakes and harsh ocean environments, and Luna has rolled in more sand than I can count. Despite the elements, it’s still standing strong with zero signs of giving out.
This is a premium piece of gear that truly holds up to the performance and lifestyle of an active dog. It easily has years of use left in it. Buy it once, use it forever!

Love this for my Bostons!
Love this life vest for my two Bostons with our pool! Works perfectly and an XS fits great. Definitely recommend this for the pool and ocean!

The absolute best flotation jacket for small dogs!
I own a 9 pound Chihuahua mix and my daughter has an 11 pound Chihuahua mix, both coming from a Puerto Rican animal rescue. We spend many days out on the pontoon in the summer and our dogs are often in the water at lakeside or paddling around to our floating rafts in the middle of the lake. Ruffwear PFDs are the absolute easiest and quickest to put on, and they keep their little heads above water. Since we also take our dogs on our jet ski to bring them to the beach for potty breaks, it’s comforting to know that if they inadvertently fell off, they would be highly visible and safe from drowning while we circle back. The jackets dry quickly in the sun and are super comfortable for them to wear while underway, since they spend a lot of time standing up and smelling the breeze. They are worth every penny! Both of our dogs wear an XXS.
