This was my first purchase from rid wear and I m very happy. This collar is low profile. Very easy to adjust and so far did get loose after about a month of use. Almost works as a choker for my beagle. She loves and that what matters the most. Thanks

I bought the Knot-a-collar to match the Knot-a-leash and I love the collar just as much as the leash. I love the look and the design and its adjustible which is great. All around a great product that looks good. I love how it's low profile and doesn't scruntch up Fielder's fur. Adding the dogtag silencer was a great idea also. Works perfectly for my conditions; a dog that doesn't pull or roam around. Of the review I've read the theme seems pretty consistent: It looks thicker in the pics...so if you're looking for a collar that stands out, this isn't it. Likewise I could see how it wouldn't be ideal for a dog who pulls while on leash (especially for dogs that want to escape; the nature of the slide-over vs. latch means that the dog can always get out if it's what they want.) And lastly, I suppose the knots could slip with extended use; so what...tighten them up again. But if your looking for a simple high quality collar; this is a great option. Bonus point if you match it with the leash.

Basil has a thick, lion like neck. Flat collars were making an unattractive dent in his fur and I wanted a rolled collar. He loves his Ruffwear knot and the problem has been alleviated! He looks "cool and comfortable". Design of collar is unique, well made and sporty.

I purchased this collar in Aug. 2012 for my Lab Mix. (five months) Sadie and I walk every day to retrieve the paper and mail. She typically is not a puller on her leash and only weighs 40 lbs. However, I noticed that the hardware used to attach the leash is cutting into the collar. The outer threads are completely cut and I can now see the black filament. I love the collar but this is just not practical for daily use.

I really like this collar. I had been looking for a nice easy on and off collar when I came across this one. I bought it as I really wanted the knot a leash. It turned out to be perfect and its rope so he can't wiggle out of it like a loose strap collar but its flexible enough to be slipped on and off with out adjusting it. My favotie thing about the collar is the big leash ring, for two reasons. I jave a furry dog and its easy to find, ut also because the ring stays on his back as most of the collar weight is on his chest. I can always find it when i need to clip on the leash vs his last collar whete id have to hold him down and find the ring. I have recieved a lot of comments at the dog parks about the collar and Ziggy seams to like it as well

I purchased the Know-a-Collar. I like the color and it looks well made. But I will be returning it and exchanging it for the Top Rope collar instead. The knot-a-collar is not robust enough for my pitbull. I need something with a little thicker and bigger. Probably best for smaller breed dogs.

Read many reviews before deciding to purchase; came across a few negative reviews about its difficulty of use which I do not understand now that we own the collar because it was very easy to adjust. We love how sleek and lite it is.

I love the look and feel of this collar and I purchased the matchin 5' Leash - she struts her stuff - neat appearance.

Like the collar, adjusting leaves some to be desired as you must adjust while on the dog and its design makes it difficult to adjust and keep things like the leash hook in place.

The collar loosens very quickly. It is not functional. The tag holder doesn't hold a lot of tags well and is not universal. It would be nice if I could get my money back but oh well.

A very nice little low profile collar. Love that it's made from climbing rope...very non conventional. I find that this is a great collar to keep the id tags on, not the best for actually restraining though. My husky is really strong and keeping a hold on the collar while he is pulling the other way can sometimes cause the collar to loosen to it's biggest fit and slip off. Otherwise, great!

I bought this collar for the appearance. I was surprised it didn't come with instructions on how to adjust it.

Super product it fits great and it can get over the head of my frenchie even tho she has a huge head compared to her size . it all so looks good and it does not look chunky or over sized. even my girlfriend likes it!

I had the old Knot-a-Collars. While they served a purpose, these are a grat improvement. The lead is easier to attach, and the ID tag solution much improved (I used to attach them my own way). These are currently my dogs 'wear all the time - just incase' collars. My guys don't need a lead, while one is attached for council regulations, the collar is not used as a form of control. I have it loose enough so it fits over their heads to take off if I want. The Medium does my girl about as big as it will go, and I brough a large for my boy, as he has a bigger head to get it over!

Purchased this collar with the Knot-a-Leash. Thought the concept was cool but really not to thrilled with the collar. The rope is much thiner than I had anticipated and not as simple as I had hoped to adjust. After a few weeks we were back to a normal collar.

I actually purchased this collar as a addition to get free shipping. This is the only item I kept. There are not a lot of alternatives to this rope collar on the market and it works ok so I kept it. It is quite stiff and not the easiest thing to adjust but once you get it adjusted its ok. I leave it a bit looser so I can slip it off my dog at night. I love the way the collar looks, very natural and not quite so domesticated. It is very lightweight but will not work for everyone that is for sure.

this collar is a pain in the butt. its hard to adjust and hard to take off the dog. i would have liked the rope to be thicker. it does not work well for us.

I was looking for a non-buckle collar that wasn't a choke or martingale. This collar is very low profile and attractive. It's easy to adjust, but does slip some if the dog pulls. I wouldn't recommend it for a dog that is a puller. However, I do OB with my dogs and wanted something I could compete in that would stay put on their necks. This collar is fabulous for that. It stays right behind their ears. My one caveat would be that tags just don't stay on that little metal thingy. I lost two sets of fairly expensive tags letting my dogs crash around in the bushes.

When I put this collar on my Lab it looked nice and i was concerend I might have it too tight. after a few days it loosened up on its own and my dog slipped out of it while on a walk. lucky that he came right back to me when i called him as it could have been a bad sitituation.

I'm really glad I bought this collar for my G.S. I love the reflective threading thoughout, and the fact that it won't mat his fur. When making my purchase I had already known that the image made it appear thicker than what it actually is. Can't wait to buy more Ruffwear products. I just wish it was made in America!

Like collar very much . Not a big fan of leaving collars on my past dogs I like the naked look of my dogs , plus seems to be alot more comfortable for dogs. With this collar I can barely tell she has a collar on and she seems less annoyed to be wearing it. Very pleased with overall look & function. Will be purchasing more products soon . Thanx Ruff Wear . Wish more stufff was available in retail though waiting for delivery kinda sucks.

Lakota is a trailing dog doing SAR work so the collar with a vest is less restrictive around her neck. I do have to adjust the knots sometimes but I think it's from the other dogs grabbing it when they play.

This collar would really be an awesome product if it could be personalized. If the front metal plate would be made a bit longer, it would be the perfect place to engrave the dog tag info. This would make the dog tag completely secure and would not dangel like regular dog tags that sometimes get caught and break off. You may not be in the business of engraving dog tags into your products, but it would really set this collar apart from all the others.

I was concerned that maybe the slip knot design wouldn't be as reliable as the Hoopie collar but it is! Believe me, once you have the collar adjusted to the right size, it's not moving unless you decide to adjust it yourself. And it's very stylish and looks just like a climbing rope. Wyatt gets even more compliments than he did before!

This collar is absolutely perfect! We love that the leash hook is in the back, the style and design, and the fact that it does not slip/loosen!!

looks great on dog, dog tags made very little noise to no noise at all(probably don't need three tags)

for a large breed dog this collar grows with them instead of having to buy new ones and is very durable

I really like the idea of this design, thinking it would feel like less of an intrusion on my dog's neck, be lower profile. But I was kinda hoping the rope would be thicker. As it is, I'm a bit concerned about how it feels on my dog's neck in a situation where I need to correct her. Probably would've returned it if I had realized this earlier.

I love this collar. I got the gray one for my Husky. It kinda blends in with her fur, and I like that. I also like that it does not have any "clips" (except for the one on the back for leash attachments). It also has reflective stitching. I get compliments on the uniqueness! It looks comfortable on her too.

I love this collar for my APBT. He doesn't have thick fur around his neck but what I love about this is the fact that there are no clips or buckles that may fail, and the fisherman's knot adjustment makes for a secure fit. The reflective trim is an added safety bonus that I like, and I also enjoy how unobtrusive the collar is on him; you know he's wearing one but it's not bulky or overwhelming. . Another great product by Ruffwear!

I love my knot-a-collar! I use this collar specifically for the purpose of holding my dog's tags. It has the ability to be clipped to a leash but I use the slip leash that Ruff wear sells. It's low key, hangs low on the neck, not to mention it's very nice to look at. I especially love it because I take my dog hiking a lot and it doesn't rub on his neck or limit his movement while we're walking. I love that the knots are adjustable! They're a little hard to pull at first but that's a good thing because it means they wont come undone!
