One of my Goldens has a long, silky coat and the Knot-A-Just collar fits her comfortably. Also, it dries quickly after swimming or rainy weather. Will definitely purchase another one sometime, although the one she has worn for over a year has plenty of wear left in it!/////Yes

I agree with the other review. It does NOT hold the size adjustment. My dog slipped right out of it on a walk. Not good near a busy street!/////Yes

This does not hold size adjustment. We use it a cosmetic collar to hold tags, but use a seperate collar for walks, as they would slip right out of the Knot-A-Just collars. Just the other day one of our dogs had her collar in her mouth, chewing on the tags because she figuered out if she pulls with her teeth, it will come loose. However, we have the Knot-a-Leash for both dogs and LOVE them. So much for having the matching set, as I don't see these collars lasting very long in our home./////No

As other reviewers have said, this loosens with pulling. My 17lb mix pulls hard enough tho loosen the collar, so I have to make sure it's snug before we leave for a walk and check it often during the walk.Additionally, the collar passes through the tag ring (rather than the tag ring being attached to a separate nylon loop of the collar like the leash ring). I noticed that the split in the ring where it opens had a tendancy to rotate and face my dog's neck, catching hairs once in a while. I had to remove the tag ring and pass it through a different section of the collar where the flat webbing attaches to the clasp.It's a nice looking collar, but needs some fine-tuning./////No

fantastic product. its has a pad in it so my poor dog doesnt choke herself to death while pulling. i havent had any size issues but it does look different than my old ones so maybe they made a change. i actually had a mismade one that i bought and they sent me out a free new one asap. got it in a few days and all i had to do was take a pic of the damaged one. all my dogs now wear these./////yes

Love the color - but other than that not good- I bought two for our labs. As others have said - it doesn't hold the size and therefore our dogs kept slipping out of it and it also snags very easy!/////NO

Collar buries itself in her fur, looks great, and is tough. Over time it tends to loosen up a little. I just tighten it once a week. Great product, THANKS!/////yes

I got this collar knowing that it is not intended to service as the main collar. I have a choke chain as the primary mean of walking and handling my dog. My dog is service animal and feel that having this collar to have his tags and ID on is a great addition. I have the matching leash and could not ask for better. I love all of Ruff Wear products and will continue to use them for all my animals needs. When you look at price and quality, this is the way to go. /////Only to those looking for a flat collar

As others have stated, this collar does not hold it's size. For this reason, the collar does not do well as a "primary" collar and I would not recommend attaching a leash to it.Despite this, I think the collar does great for taking a swim and can be used often if combined with the Just-a-Cinch leash or training collar so the leash is not attached to the collar./////Only for certain uses

Materials are nice but the the collars do not stay adjusted for size. The collars are always loosening up. /////No

I had a leash from many years ago. I bought new leashes and collars for both dogs. I wish I'd read these reviews first. The collar slips size. If the dogs weren't off leash for our walks I'd be concerned about them slipping the collar. /////No

Size does not hold its position, as the others mention. BUT we use a cable adjustment to keep it in place, a very little one, not seen nor felt by the dog. and it is perfect. so, please ruffwear, do work on this, as we love the stuff and we have set a trend in Germany (10 sold in 3 days)/////yes

My first impression of this collar, upon holding it, was that it feels really FLIMSY. I'm a 5'3" female, I feel like if I really tried, I could pull the collar apart. So for any dog that tugs at all, I'd be worried about them pulling and the collar ripping in half. Also, as others have noted, the size doesn't keep at all. It's a shame because one of my dogs has a mane that could rival a lion's, and I like the way this collar actually settles into her fur. But that doesn't make up for the poor construction, so I'll be returning this./////No

I returned the item (x-large collar) very thin and cheapy, It could hardly hold anextra large dog!/////yes

I needed a collar that my dog could wear with her inground fence collar. This collar was a great width, but because she is still on leash at times, the part of the collar that does not have rope inside stretched and as it stretched the size adjustment slipped also. I was adjusting the size on this collar a couple times a day./////No

I love this collar for the sole purpose of holding dog information and ID. I like that it's low profile and lightweight. Of course I would never use this collar as a means of keeping my big Malamutes on a leash and collar. Which is why I also love the super low profile harness that RW makes. I contain my dogs on the harness vs. the collar./////yes
