Nice Beds!

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

This is a great bed for Search and Rescue Winter work. It insulates the dogs from the ground, the bottom is waterproof and it is apparently very comfortable. It dries quickly and fits in the car, in their crates and rolls up for storage. They like this bed so well we had to buy 2 more for traveling!

Little pricey ut I don't mind for RuffWear quality. Got the large for the back of the CRV. Rolls up small when not in use, cleans easily and drys quick. Just ordered a medium for the patio...

Great size and quality made!

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I ordered the large in gray, and just love it. It provides a dry, comfy get away bed for Jonesy, and folds up in its convenient carry mode for throwing in the car. Ruffwear is known for their quality made products, and this is no exception.

Fantastic bed!

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I got this for our lab puppy who loves to chew on everything when he was 4 month old. This is the only bed that survived puppyhood without a mark! It's durable and he just loves it. It spends the week on my office floor so Thor can sleep next to me while I work, then I just roll it up in its convenient carry form for our weekend camping trips. The size (L) is perfect for a growing lab and gives him plenty of space to spread out his favorite toys and stay out of the dirt in our campsite.

Excellent

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

This is so well made: sturdy construction you can roll up, put down, move from place to place. It looks great on our engineered stone floors. I went with Blue because dogs see blue and yellow and into the violet range. Like the rubber backing, so it can go outside on a dewy deck. Great fabric - feels like suede.

Home away from home

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

She's habitual, but the Mt. Bachelor Pad makes her feel at home while we're traveling. We thought the large was a bit big for her at first, but it all depends on how your dog lays out. Nestler? Medium. Lays on its side? Large. Both? Go with the Large. It's nice and compact when rolled up and doesn't add too much weight either. We added her favorite fuzzy blanket and it rolled right into the pad with ease. GSD tested and approved!

Great for Traveling and Car Camping

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

The Mt. Bachelor Pad is a great bed for car camping and using around the house. I like that it can roll up into its own velcro straps and handle, which makes it easily transportable. The Medium Size is also big enough to fit me and my 50-pound dog on (if we cuddle). I'm sure smaller dog owners would like to see a smaller size though (Hint, hint). I've found two detractions to it: first, it would be great if the cover could come off for quick-washes (get the dirt & dog hair off). Second, it's not thick enough to protect a dog from really hard or rocky ground. That being said, my Seeley enjoyed sleeping it on our last camping excursion, and I enjoyed having her in a designated space, so I didn't have muddy paws all over the inside of my tent! Overall, though, it's a great portable dog bed.

just what I was looking for

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I travel with my dogs quite a bit and I'm always looking for a durable, washable, packable bed to bring along. So far, the Mt Bachelor pad fits the bill. It's a nice amount of padding and washability and is holding up well in it's first month of use.

I got this (the Medium) for my Service Dog to use if we are waiting somewhere for a long period time. I absolutely love it! It's very light and compact, so for she has used it at the doctors office. I love the waterproof bottom and the nice soft micro fiber top. I plan on buying the large for her kennel.

We use this for the car. The rubbery back seems to keep it in position while the soft side seems more comfortable. It feels good on either side. My dog loves laying on it. She is almost 90lbs. The large size suits her perfect.

Almost perfect...

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I bought this mat as a camping bed for my 20-lb dog, who is inevitably exhausted after a day of hiking. For car camping, it would be fine, but even the medium is way too heavy and bulky for backpacking. Ruffwear, I would LOVE to see this product in a smaller size, with a cover I can take off and wash! That said, I think it is a functional, good quality product, and my dog seems to enjoy a bit of padding from the cold ground.

Awesome

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I had picked up this bed for my Australian Cattle Dog Gibson so I can have a portable mat for him to rest on when are on trips or just for the floor while he sits beside me at the computer. I really like how well this pad is put together and Gibson really seems to enjoy it as well. I almost wish I could order a human sized one as they would be perfect for inside a tent. The design, construction and ability to roll up makes this one awesome pad for your puppy.

Excellent

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I love it. I'm not sure I'll be able to use it as I planned but it is an excellent product. I had planned to use it as a pad for my service dog to carry daily and lay on when we stopped for longer period. We got the large and its too heavy to carry all the time. That's my fault for not investigating properly. That said... wow. The Bachelor is unexpectedly nice. The materials are very sturdy. Its well sewn. The large is a great size for my big lab -- is more than large enough. The bottom material is non-slip so it won't slip on carpet. The whole thing is just thick enough that it provides a nice cushion on cement but isn't that bulky or heavy (well, unless you'll ask your dog to carry it all day like I would). I like this so much I'm tempted to get the smaller one to see if it might be light enough for my service dog to carry daily.

the mat fulfills all my expectations. My dog has to stay at poolside on a regular basis so I was looking for a waterproof mat. I tried all sorts of things, but nothing worked really. This mat is perfect. It's warm, waterproof, easy to care for, easy to store, great for wherever we go and for whatever we do. We love it.

Great Product

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

Have had this bed for a couple of months now and has been so awesome for my puppy. It has been so easy to travel with and we take it with us to training classes. I would say go with the big bed just to be on the safe side. my dog likes to sprawl out and curl up in ball. Only issue is that it gets dirty super easy for some odd reason, but have been able to clean it. If i could change one thing is that it was a little thicker, but my dog knows its her bed and seems to like it.

Fantastics

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I simply don't write reviews but: I purchased a Ruffwear Hover Craft (The predecessor To The Current version), on Dec 2007. My dog still has this toy, after playing tug of war with this product, with her friend, "C," an English Bulldog, for 5 years. It still has years left in the toy, even with frayed edges! This has to be one of the most durable, non plastic toys, she has ever had. We have added a new Red Hover Craft to the mix, but Bailey still gravitates to her oldest and favorite friend:)

Lots of potential

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I was excited to get a couple of these, especially after it was recently redesigned. The bottom material is quite durable and very tacky so it doesn't slip around. It goes from the ground to the back of our suv and everywhere in between. I do have a couple complaints that keep me from loving it. For one, it desperately needs a side zipper and the ability to take the cover off and wash it. I understand the entire thing can go into the washer, but the outside is the only thing that gets dirty. This would also give you the ability to beef up the foam inside because this pad is relatively thin as it is. Just a couple suggestions...thanks!

functional and attractive

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

Our dogs know what "bed" means so it is great to have something portable. We can take this on road trips (hotel, friend's homes, camping) and the dogs still feel like they have their own place. I love how compact this bed becomes so it doesn't take much effort to pack or carry in the car. The large is also big enough that it covers the cargo space of my wagon and then some. This will also come in handy for taking to training and agility classes when it is cold (a warm place to lay on the floor for my pup). I've put this in my front loading washing machine a few times and have hung to dry with no problems- looks brand new!
