Great travel pad

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I bought this to travel with. It does not fit in the Palisades backpack, but I suspected that when I bought it. It can be strapped to the top of the backpack though. My dog likes it, and prefers this mat over his other ones, which are the pillow type.

LOVE this bed! Doesn't stink, doesn't take up much room, easily washed, extremely durable, and the stuffing doesn't clump! I move it from one vehicle to the next, to the ground, etc.

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

Mt. Bachelor Pad is a fantastic way to have that special spot for your pooch. This sucker folds and rolls up and even has straps that Velcro to help keep it all rolled up. The dogs loved this from the day I unrolled it on the floor it was claimed as theirs.

Worst thing ruffwear makes

Would you recommend this product?.: No

It is impossible to wash this. If you put water on it, the water goes through the material to the plastic at the bottom which locks it inside. This way all the dog drool, dirt, and rawhide juice can fester in the water. Eventually it ends up stinking like a shallow pool of polluted still water on a 100 degree day with 90% humidity next to the porta potties. But wait, you think you could solve this problem by hanging it up to dry for 2 days. No, you can't....the bed holds water so well it will stay damp and sticky for weeks. Buy the toys, the leashes, the bags and the life jackets. But do NOT buy this bed.

nice, portable dog bed

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

i ordered a large, and yes it is huge. The portability came as a nice surprise, as the whole bed rolls up into a nice little package. It is a bit too bulky for backpacking, but its great for the trunk of the car. It looks thin to me, but my dog seems to think it has enough padding.

Watch the size you order. If you are torn between a large and a small, error on the side of small. I ordered mine too large, but the dog likes it nonetheless.

This bed rolls up nicely and made for a waterproof insulation layer over snow this winter. It loaded well onto my daypack and gives my dog a familar portable "place" for her "down stay" while waiting her turn for training.. It is light, basic, and perfect for my portable application.

This pad works as a great travel pad. I use it in the car all the time, and when we go to a friend's house, he always has a bed. Durable, water resistant bottom, and pretty darn big area to sit on. Ruffwear got this one right.

Fantastic bed. It stays in the back of my car and gives our dog a great place to hang out for the ride since he comes everywhere with me, including work. Loves that it fits perfectly in his crate when staying in hotels, rolls up easily to take anywhere, washes great. Never stop making this bed.

Durable, Clean-able, Comfortable

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

I've had the Mt. Bachelor Pad for about 5 years now. This pad has become my dog's portable mat for home, office, visiting hospitals, when I go speak at camps, and when we're hiking/camping/mountaineering. It's light, and I love the fact that it rolls up so tight and is easy to carry. For backpacking it is a bit of weight, but our dogs are worth it, aren't they?

I have been looking for a durable portable bed that was more than just a piece of cloth to lay on the ground. This is heavy duty and has substance to it. My dogs like to lay on it and it protects them from hard surfaces and they seem really comfortable.

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

This bed is great! Ater Guybrush ripped apart his previous bed, we got him this one. He really likes it and doesn't seem interested in eating it at all (helps that the seams are pretty well covered). It's great because we can take it everywhere (even works as a car seat cover) and he'll actually use it!

Great Portable Bed!

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

So far this bed is working great. I love the material on the bottom as it is very durable. Best part is Samson is using it when we are out training. I can throw it in the bed of the truck or on the ground to keep him off of the hot surfaces. Nice thick padding material as well. Great size and nice that it rolls up and has a handle to carry it with. Thank you Ruff Wear.

Most durable bed we have owned

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

This bed has lasted us longer than any other dog bed we have owned, considering one of our mini-husky's hobbies is shredding dog beds. For some reason he has not touched this one. I think he thinks it's too cool to be shredded. Fits perfectly in the back of our Land Rover too!

I'm very pleased with the Mt. Bachelor Pad. We take it everywhere we go (family, friends, e.g.). Our Ridgeback won't ligh down without a blanked. On this pad she is very comfortable. We allso take the pad on our campingtrips. On the pad with a sleepingbag for children over our dog, she is the queen of the tent!

The materials are very durable and easy to clean!

Lifesaver!

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

The fact that I can jam this in the washing machine and dry it quickly is the best. It's lightweight and it's not like wrestling a gorilla moving it around the house. Great for old dogs that need a bed around pups that haven't figured out the house breaking business!

My BSDs are 42lbs each and the med. size is perfect for them. Got it out of the box, plunked it down and one of them went right to it. My only issue is it isn't easy to roll up. Pad will have to be well used before it rolls up easily.

Ouch

Would you recommend this product?.: No

This can be compared to the the Mustang in the 80's. Once had a great product but the accountants got a hold of it and ruined it. The top is cheep and wont last, the pad is extremely thin, and it holds odors like the workplace microwave. I would spend less $ and get more bed in the Flophouse.

Would you recommend this product?.: Yes!

Our dog Dixie is a tripawd so she needs a little extra padding when we camp. We love that it rolls up relatively small and doesn't take up more room than, say, our tent in the car. We also bring it along when we go to friends' houses. It gives her a familiar place to "go lay down."

We actually haven't taken this bed camping or such, but really just use it in the house as our dog's bed. We accidentally bought the larger size, which was completely unnecessary, but we just fold it in half, giving more it more loft and hopefully longer wear time since our pooch is only laying on one side at a time!

I got this bed after seeing it at REI in Seattle. I like the idea of having a bed to throw down anywhere and know the dog will be on something safe and large enough to protect from snupping around. I wish I had ordered the other larger loft bed that has been pulled, but this is a great bed.

I bought a cheap bed for my Molly and she tore through it in about a month. That is when I stepped up to the Ruffwear brand. This product fits perfectly in her crate and rolls up for easy traveling. She put it through its passes when we first put it down and when she realized this was not some cheap pad; she stopped trying to destroy it. Now she will not sleep without it.

Well designed

I am a dog trainer and in addition to taking this with me on over-night outings with my dogs, I also use this as my dog's "place" when teaching them to stay on their place. It is comfy and won't get dirty from the ground, at least not so much that a wipe won't take care of.
