Used these for a two day hike in the pemi wilderness. Terrific for easy transition from off-leash to leashed and "under control". Best part is dogs don't mind them at all.

My Plott x, Oliver, loves to be off-lead on our hikes. He likes to take his time to sniff and explore. I love the idea of having him wear this collar/leash in case we come across other hikers, dogs, or wildlife. Ollie has worn his Quickdraw Leash on several hikes now and he seems very comfortable in it. My mom just ordered two for her golden retrievers to wear on our upcoming camping trip. Jasmine wore this while we were out at the cabin, and it was PERFECT! I could grab and release the leash very quicky when needed, but didn't have to carry around anything extra. Seemed very comfortable for Jasmine as well.
It came in handy too! One morning we were doing a light hike and I looked up and saw a doe standing less than 10 feet away; I reached down and grabbed the Quick Draw leash, grateful to have it handy.

Took this product all the way from the flat lands of Iowa to the top of Quandary Mountain in Summit Co., CO. This is the perfect "leash" for a dog that can roam responsibly. This is my favorite leash for my super smart and active beast. Just the right length for teaching him trail manners. When he gets to be a free dog, I don't have to juggle the leash. That's especially great when we go for a run on an out of the way trail or to the beach. I'm looking forward to using it on backpacking adventures, too.

We LOVE the fact that they can carry their own leashes, and when need be, we can just grab the tab quickly and presto! A leash! Great and handy for dog parks or hikes!

This thing is an amazing concept -- ive been a ruffwear believer for years. You guys think of it all.....BUT.....this thing does not fit around my big guy's neck. Can you please make a L/XL??!?

My dog has severe generalized anxiety, and frequently gets "paralyzed" both in and out of the house. It's SO great to have a built in leash so we can gently guide him out of his mental freeze without having to go find a leash every time! Thank you!

I got this for one of my dogs, so when other people approach us on the trail I can call her back and her leash is already on her. It's a great concept. I might have to get two more of these.

A great tool for the well behaved off leash dog. I love how it stays together even with romps though trees and brush.

This is a great item. I can quickly grab a leash if I want or need to but I don't have to carry it or worry about it getting tangled up.

I was looking for an easy-access, store-on-the-dog type leash and this one is great. Fast open, fast closed and perfect for running on our rural roads and for agilty practice.

The quick draw leash is easy to use and is always within reach. No wasted time spent opening the pack to find the leash to help secure the dogs on the trail. A great safety feature when encountering deer, moose, dirt bikes or snow mobiles on the trail. I would not use the collar feature in heavy brush as the velcro may not hold causing the leash to play out. We clip the buckle to the dog pack on the cairns when training and hiking and attach the collar to the top of the pack as the width of the collar is a little to wide for small dog's neck.
