I absolutely love love love this product. Whoever thought of this is a genius. When I walk my dogs on hiking trails its one less thing I have to carry and each dog is already hooked up I just have to pull the quick release tab and everyone is where I need them. I highly recommend this product

I got this for my puppy because when he was walking off leash and another dog or person walked by he wouldn't listen to me. So immediately when I saw someone coming I grabbed the quick draw leash (so nice not having to fiddle with putting his other leash on) and wouldn't let him go until we had passed the distraction. We are at the point now where he can say hi to the other dogs and I will call him and he will come to me. I know the leash helped to train him to listen to me even if there are other dogs to play with.

This is a very well made, sturdy leash. I seldom need a leash on the dogs but on rare occasions it's very useful to have one right there on the dog. It would be a bit better if the leash and collar were one piece so the clip would be unnecessary and the leash could lie flat against the collar.

I bought this for my Smooth Fox in agility. The concept to good, however it is just a little too big around his neck and I am afraid he will get it caught on something.

I get very annoyed with putting the leashes on and taking them off and kept thinking to myself, "What I need is a leash that the dogs can wear." Lo and behold, RuffWear thought of exactly that! It's perfect!

I am the proud owner of a golden retriever who always enjoys being able to run sans leash. Unfortunately, local and state laws dictate otherwise, and it has led to some interesting moments involving trees while out on a trail. Quick Draw leash to the rescue! I bought this leash for a trip to our cabin in northern Wisconsin. We go hiking with the dogs and this was the PERFECT product. They were able to be off leash but I could grab them and start walking normally with them on leash in a split second if I needed to. Not having to carry a leash was a huge bonus. The quick draw leash is also perfect for the dog park!

This is a great product for well-behaved dogs. Our dogs are always off leash but we keep the quick draw on in case we encounter folks who don't understand responsive dogs and responsible owners.

This is the best design Idea for a leash that I have ever used. I love it for camping and hiking. It is even great when I take my dog on short trips to the vet or store. I would like to see it with a larger hand loop and in other colors. Overall the product is streamline and works as advertised.

Quick Draw Leash for those of you that do things with your dogs off leash but still want a leash, this is it! This leash simply wraps around your dogs collar and Velcro's back down on itself. The simple tab at the attachment point allows for very quick and easy access to the leash on the fly if you ever need it. The leash is the perfect length for walking your dog in the heel position. This leash also has a TON of reflective thread woven throughout so your dog will be more visible at night with this on.

I used it everyday for off leash walking. And it's great for hiking too. Excellent tool for a well behaved dog. It is very easy to use and convenient.

GREAT idea. The perfect solution for dogs that can be trusted off-lead and the owner not left to tote the leash around. I bought this leash several years ago to use on my MTB/hiking dog. The snap back then was very poor and didn't hold up to the brambles that sometimes grab at you. Broke the first time on the trail!! Still would be a good leash for less active dogs I suppose. However, from the pic it seems the snap has been made stronger so I'm going to give it one more try and purchase another one...

This is a "must have" for our off leash adventures. I dont have to carry the leash when we are on the hike and when we get back to the parking lot he is back on leash in a snap!

These leashes are ideal for any situation! We use them to take the dogs everywhere! At the dog park, we do not have to carry their leashes around, so both hands are free to clean up poo. On long walks, they can have the freedom to run while we can quickly regain control of their lead when approaching others. They are perfect for our outdoors lifestyle.

I absolutely LOVE this idea in theory. We ordered a huge batch of these and they do work exactly as promised and are extremely, extremely handy -- on collars they can snap to. The snap on the Quick Draw is very small and difficult to operate when you can't see it. Otherwise, this product is AMAZING.

I've had a previous version of this leash. Loved it except for the snap, which you've changed. Thanks. The previous snap was funky and hard to clip on and off. The velcro seems to diminish over time when you have dogs like mine who get wet and dirty. I use a rubber band to keep it on now. I used to worry about it getting caught on brush when it plays out. But with the loose velcro, it plays out a lot and never a problem. Plus, my dogs' collars are loose. So if they got stuck, they could easily pull them off their heads. They haven't done that tho. Hard to get velcro to work when dirty.

Brilliant idea. Very handy, yet comfortable for our working dog. Reflective material much more utilitarian than flashing red light for night time runs.

We love this leash. We currently have a 6 month old puppy and this leash has been very beneficial in her housebreaking and training. She wears it all of the time and it doesn't bother her one bit. When we nee to take her outside for potty training we extend the leash and show her where she needs to go potty.

We like to run our dogs off leash, but we leash up as soon as someone else approaches, for safety's sake. The quick draw is absolutely wonderful for this purpose. In fact, we just leave them on the dogs all the time now, so we can avoid confrontations with other dogs, or keep our dogs close when other folks and kids approach. They are quick, easy and effective.

Avid hikers, runners and MTBers, this product has been great for our lifestyle. Wish it came in brighter colors all around not just the small amount of red on the handle.

Used these for a two day hike in the pemi wilderness. Terrific for easy transition from off-leash to leashed and "under control". Best part is dogs don't mind them at all.

My Plott x, Oliver, loves to be off-lead on our hikes. He likes to take his time to sniff and explore. Jasmine wore this while we were out at the cabin, and it was PERFECT! I could grab and release the leash very quicky when needed, but didn't have to carry around anything extra. Seemed very comfortable for Jasmine as well.
It came in handy too! One morning we were doing a light hike and I looked up and saw a doe standing less than 10 feet away; I reached down and grabbed the Quick Draw leash, grateful to have it handy.

This is my favorite leash for my super smart and active beast. Just the right length for teaching him trail manners. When he gets to be a free dog, I don't have to juggle the leash. That's especially great when we go for a run on an out of the way trail or to the beach. I'm looking forward to using it on backpacking adventures, too.

We LOVE the fact that they can carry their own leashes, and when need be, we can just grab the tab quickly and presto! A leash! Great and handy for dog parks or hikes!

This thing is an amazing concept -- ive been a ruffwear believer for years. You guys think of it all.....BUT.....this thing does not fit around my big guy's neck. Can you please make a L/XL??!?

I was looking for an easy-access, store-on-the-dog type leash and this one is great. Fast open, fast closed and perfect for running on our rural roads and for agilty practice.

The quick draw leash is easy to use and is always within reach. No wasted time spent opening the pack to find the leash to help secure the dogs on the trail. A great safety feature when encountering deer, moose, dirt bikes or snow mobiles on the trail. I would not use the collar feature in heavy brush as the velcro may not hold causing the leash to play out. We clip the buckle to the dog pack on the cairns when training and hiking and attach the collar to the top of the pack as the width of the collar is a little to wide for small dog's neck.
