My dog has a 69cm girth, so I purchased the Sunshower in size M according to the sizing chart. The rain coat fits ok around her chest (even though the neck opening seems a bit small), but the length of the coat is too short. The coverage ends just above her hips, making most of her butt exposed to the rain.

I'm a very active person and so is my dog. Shortly after I received this rain coat, I took my dog hiking in the mountains and it started raining. I put the rain coat on her and started heading home. Three hours later when we arrived, her belly, her butt, her legs, her chest, pretty much most of her except some of her back was wet. The coverage of this rain coat is pretty disappointing.

i have tried several other types of rain coats..that were..not great due to fit, velcro closures etc...these are great. the closures are clasps/buckles that are even hidden in pockets as to not rub on dogs or get wet. fit is good. hood is questionable.

We've used the sun shower a few times a week since buying it – from in camp to up mountains. (we were surprised at how often it's come in handy)

The body fit is perfect and the pup does stay dry - I like how the edges "flare out." The hood doesn't quite work with our dog's head - her upright ears just poke right out, making the hood fall back. I’m not sure our pup would go for the hood anyways, so that’s fine.

Keeping the rest of her dry is worth it - especially when it comes time for a long car ride home or a long night in a tent.

This is a very well made coat and it does its job. Our lab stays dry and clean on rainy days. We went out with friends last weekend and it started raining. Everybody put their dogs in cars not to get muddy, but our pooch was proudly walking around in his rain jacket looking so cute, too! I agree with some other reviewers, hood doesn't stay in place very good and probably needs a strap under the chin.

This coat is well made, shaped well for active wear on sporting dogs or hounds and holds up nicely. The reflective tape is well positioned. Dogs really show up in headlights during those nasty Pacific Northwest dark evening walks. The hood is a bit short and small and has no chin cord. I would like to see a redesign more similar to a human rainjacket hood with a sliding strap to adjust the length/fit. I walk dogs professionally and all the dogs really seem to tolerate the coat and the hood fairly well. Good chest and torso coverage.

My guy hated getting rained on till we got this coat and now he does not mind it at all! The leash hole and breakway hidden hood is where it's at!

The rain jacket is made very well. The quality is A-one, and the size and fit is perfect for my Vizsla. The hood is cute, but should extend over the head a little farther. I suppose the jacket keeps him dry, but hard to tell as he won't go out in the rain!! I thought getting him this jacket would make him more willing to walk in a rain shower.

We walk our dog, Lucie, 6 miles roundtrip to and from work everyday. This coat does a fabulous job of keeping her dry during the rainy season. Although the hood doesn't always stay in place and cover her head, the rest of her body is always amazingly dry. Best of all, Lucie always wags her tail happily when we put the coat on her.

This coat is very well made. It is lightweight and durable. The removeable hood is a nice feature. It fits our dog well.

I love the look of the rain coat and it fits well. My dog doesn't like wearing coats, but if it is raining, she is happy to see it.

I ordered thisin Large for my German Shepherd. Looks good, works well. Only problem is, for a large, the hood seems to be kinda small and falls off the top of his head - would have been nice to have something larger and have a way to secure it in place. Otherwise kept him prety dry,

The jacket fits well and stays in place when we go running or mountain biking. Its even better when we get home because there is a lot less wet dog to clean. Probably my favorite Ruff Wear product.

Sunshower Great vest fits well good quality and finish

As a professional dog walker, my dog goes on a lot of walks with me. I wasted a lot of money over the years looking for a decent dog rain coat. The Sun Shower jacket is perfect. Fits snuggly thanks to the adjustable straps; is easy to put on; the hood is designed to be dog friendly and also allowed my leash to be attached in the correct position. Plus, the jacket covers the entire length of Pickle's body, something no other jacket does. Now Pickle tolerates walking in the rain and isn't embarrassed by what I make him wear.

Our boy needed a new raincoat, and our search led us to the Sun Shower. Not only is it sleek, lightweight, easy to clean (no lining that will smell), and well-fitting, he actually fits into it head to tail! Love that it has a hood (makes him look like a Greyhound!) and extends all the way to the first few inches of his tail. Stays real dry.

The Sun shower coat is the best overall coat. It is an all-season and weather proof jacket. Works great for rainy days in the summer or for cold snowy days in the winter! Take the hood off and it's like the K9 coat. The Sun Shower coat is built strong and it leaves room for the dogs legs unlike the reviews I've read about the other jackets...so it fits great and stays on with no problems!

My oldest dog is a Therapy dog... so this is great going "to and from" our visits! She's dry and the patients can't wait to pet her! But my youngest dog wears one too... short fur.. not much in the way of protection. This is great! One recommendation though would be to include the back length for evaluating the right size. Since the hood also has the angle... it really needs to hit in the right place to fit correctly. A little added help with evaluating would be great for potential buyers.

Not only is this coat good in the Rain it great for night hicks I can see my dog coming and going. Light weight and easy to put on. Keeps them cleaner on those muddy walk in the woods. I love this coat.

I love this jacket, as I do all ruffwear products. Very well made, and works extremely well, and dogs do not mind wearing it!

The red rain jacket with hood looks very cute on this senior pooch and keeps her perfectly dry, too. Well designed and allows her to run as fast as she wishes.
