Bought 2 of these when visiting the USA 14 months ago. These beacons are really good. Easy to dismantle and dry out when they get a bit soggy. My 2 love their "flashers" for a night time walk and I always know where they are/////Yes

I have referred a number of people to this product. It's sturdy, has light up options (quick flash, slow flash and constant light) and super bright. I live on acreage and after trying a number of other light up products it's such a relief to be able to see my *black dog*. LOL/////Yes

Awesome product, with nights getting dark fast this is a must. The three settings allow for different types of lighting for the amount of distractions around. I was able to put one around the toy and throw it out in the field and watch it come strobing back in the dogs mouth. This makes night events fun!/////Yes

Love this light-especially the different attachment features and light settings. It would be great if it were a little lower profile/bulky, but all in all a very sturdy and durable light for dark hikes and walks./////Yes

Very bright and works really good. Worth the price and 99.99% will be happy with this lite. Feed back on differnt or even better lite and way to attach...If possible would like lite that has a better way to attach it to the Ruff Wear lite loop on the jackets. The clip on this lite and jackets does work good on some of the Ruff wear jackets....but is hard to attach. I all most lost one lite in the woods on Climate Changer Fleace jacket (I own every Ruff Wear jacket made and own sevral of these lites for each jacket)...good thing it kept blinking this time and the snow wasn't very deep and I wasn't very far when it came off. The key ring loop can be used on this lite but that makes the lite not as visable cause the lite lens is only visable when looking directly at the lens and leaves a bigger blind spot. If possible I would also like a lite lens like this that can be seen better from the all sides or more angles when its on and or mounted on a Ruff Wear jacket. /////Yes

When we camp we make sure we have these lights for the girls. Everyone in the camp ground can see us coming. It's so surprising how many people never thought of putting a light on their dog at night.It's alittle hard putting the light on their WebMaster harness so I just have a clip on the light ring and then I attach it to the harness. The girls don't wear the light during the day./////Yes...many times.

I was so happy that I have purchased this light for my dog. I have multiple lights for each harness that my dog has as a service animal. Great light to have for walking after 4 in the winter. Huge plus is that it can easily be removed and used for other purposes. I took the light off of my dogs harness from in the car, and used it to assist in an accident involving a roll-over accident. Worked great steady to see inside the car, then as a blicker on the hard to see reflective triangle on the roadway prior to other emergency crews. These lights are cheap, well build, and you can never go wrong with having these lights/////I'll buy it from you if you don't like it

We love the beacon. It is great to have on during heavy snowstorms. The only problem we find is the clip does not secure it to the light loop. We almost lost the lights several times when they came loose. The ring is the best way to secure the beacon./////Yes I would recommend it

Do yourself and your dog a favor and put the beacon on him whenever he goes out at night. The beacon alerts drivers long before they get close. No dog should be without one at night!/////Yes.

Great illumination--it's saved owner and dog several times on dark New England Winter walks. Keep extra batteries handy, as this is a very bright light, and you can see a noticeable dim when you need to replace them. I bought The Beacon at REI./////Yes

Overall I feel the product can withstand some abuse, its solid with 2 types of attachment points, a clip, and a lanyard. The variable settings on the lighting display can be adjusted to the amount of surrounding activity in the area, or conserve power. Its bright LED display keeps my dog visible for long distant back-country snowshoeing, as well as dimly lit overcast evenings.I would also like to say the RUFFWEAR customer service is first rate and to me, that alone is worth coming back!/////yes

Light is very visible, attaches to light loop if you have a Ruff Wear coat. Also you can change the light pattern from blinking, constantly on, etc. I like the fact that it is well made and waterproof./////yes

I have looked for a lot of ways to light up my dog in the dark and this is one of the best products that can be attached to my dog. I am still looking for a bright blinking collar like the VisiGlo, but that product is not made for big dogs like mine I wrecked two of them already. The Beacon combined with the track jacket and it being attached to the loop on the back of the track jackedt makes my dog very visible from quite some distance. I had an incident once where I lost the red cover from one of my beacons, maybe due to the cold here in Alberta or because my dog likes to bounce around I don't know but Ruff Wear's customer service was fantastic, they handled this very generously and sent me a replacement. /////yes

We love The Beacon. We go out for walks early in the morning and at night. It's great because drivers see me walking low to the ground and slow down for us. Also Shannon can see me when I go into the bushes as I'm a dark brown color it's easy to keep me in sight she knows where I'm at. She likes how The Beacon has 3 types of light settings. We use the 1st setting that always flashes as it seems to gets the drivers attention. Since you can clip it on to anything we keep it on my harness so we don't forget it and it's weather proof too I've already tested it out rain and snow! We love it!/////yes

I need to be able to see my dogs at night. My Jack Russell is on the go the minute I turn him loose and my Aussie is a Search dog. The light in the flash mode allows me to keep track of both. I wish I had a way to attach a small caribiner directly to the light body for quick attachment and release. Great light overall. /////yes

We do a lot of night hiking and these things provide great visibility in those conditions. We often hiking in very wet conditions and, despite their being "waterproof", one of them bonks out regularly. One of my dogs like to splash around alot and when we get back to the cars her beacon will not turn off. I discovered that if I open it up when I get home and take out the batteries it is fine in the morning. Never had a problem with the beacon on the dog that doesn't go running through streams./////yes

I'll repeat comments made by others here because I think they bare repeating. Good product, light can be viewed from a good distance at night; has three modes - one steady, two blink: one slow, one fast. Its significant weakness is the O-ring which attaches to the collar ring (another O-ring, or D-ring.) This is made from a very thin gauge wire. I bought 4 of these for my dog and 3 of our walking partners, 2 were lost within a week because the ring is not up to the task. I have changed out the O-ring for a heavier gauge (it still must fit through a *narrow* opening on the light itself) and added a clip-type catch from an old leash. Since my dog is a long haired breed, the added length of the clip means the light is not under her coat thereby increasing visibility considerably.That said, this is a great company with real people at the other end of the phone. I have done business with them for years and will happily do business with them again.One other thought. I never gave a lot of thought to using one of these until this winter. It is invaluable. Buy it and use it. Keep your fur-babies safe.3 stars until the connection is fixed; 5 when it is; 6 for the company and its people./////yes

The Beacon is a great way to maintain visibility of your dog at night especially when they are playing off-leash. Bandit almost got lost one time at night so we made sure to acquire a light to keep track of the curious little guy. My only complaint is that it is a bit bulky and the clip will only go onto a thin collar. We secure it with a small moutaineering clip but it still bangs around a bit when he is playing. Overall, a great product!/////yes

I'm giving this a 5 star because I've bought lots of junk lights at the pet store, and this is the best out there. We run at night in the cold Wisconsin winters, the lights clip right onto the loop of their coats (also purchased through Ruffwear) and it couldn't be a better design. I do agree with previous ratings that the ring isn't as secure and bumps around (caused the outer case of the light to fall off once) but there is no need to ever use the ring - even when they aren't wearing their coats that has the handy loop attachment, I've found that the clip does fit quite securely to thier collars - even a thicker collar. My boxers are quite "ruff" with thier gear (they're maniacs on the run - 5miles/4 days wk), so I think they're the best sort of testers for this sort of product. This light is heavy duty and if my boy Pacino can't break it, it's pretty awesome for any dog out there./////yes

I love these lights they are bright when we let them out on vaction at Cape Cod . it is very dark there at night and we know where they are/////yes
