My Old English is 11 years old and has significant arthritis and dementia. The harness has helped greatly in getting Daisy around.

I have a minpin who slipped out of every harness I purchased. I bought the webmaster harness and he cannot backout of it, or escape at all! Wonderful product. I gave it a 4 star only because the straps have to be tightened each use. Also, underneath is so close that he pees on the harness each time.

My dog is 13 and has arthritis and she sometimes loses balance. I needed a handle to grab while we cross the street.

I've tried other harnesses, but they are just strips of webbing and the harness scrunches up. The back of this harness is stiff (but not uncomfortable), so when I pull up on the handle, there is belly support.

It's also a beautiful color (the red current) and people ask me about this striking harness when we walk in the park.

We bought this to use during our trip to The Grand Canyon, had to make sure our girl and us would feel safe on the edges! She loved it and during meetings in crouded places had so much control as she does like to greet and meet all that she crosses paths with people and animals

I actually use it as a work harness for my pup. It seems to be very comfortable for him; more comfortable than his old harness. The only issue I am having is that the harness seems to become loose and slip to one side or the other especially if he's been swimming. Otherwise a great work harness.

I purchased this harness for my dog that was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in hopes that it would help her get around more easily. I work in a veterinary hospital and Ruff Wear harnesses are the only harnesses that our patients use while they are hospitalized. They work terrific for animals that have lost mobility or are currently weak due to illness. Unfortunately, my dog passed away before I received the harness. However, my young and very "full of energy" female pitbull of 60 lbs has taken ownership of the harness and my husband and I can't believe what a difference it makes in walking her. It gives us much more control of her and she seems very comfortable in the harness. Whatever the reason you use this harness, it is a great product and and my dog thinks so too!

The Web Master Harness is the best harness on the market today! I tried one for one of my dogs, loved it, and had to buy another one for the second dog. I highly recommend this harness and tell everyone who asks!

I purchase this product for my terrier who is mostly blind,deaf, and has a missing front limb, which is difficult to buy for.
It fits him with security, minus the leg, and enable me to move him around objects with ease. It is very well made and will last for years to come.
My only wish, is that the handle on the smaller sizes could be bigger.

I ordered this in XS is for a tubby little fellow and I based the size on the girth, as suggested on the size chart by Ruff Wear. I do wish they had also included the length in the size guide for this product. While the harness fits his chest perfectly, it is too long for his body and cannot be worn. What a shame, this really seemed like the perfect solution. He's overweight but has managed to slip out of every other harness we've bought, so it isn't safe to walk him. I'll gladly recommend this product because it's so well made, but have to take away points for lack of sizing guidelines.

My dogs love their harnesses. However, make sure you measure your dog before you buy. Both of my dogs were "in between sizes" and the website doesn't lie about wanting to buy the smaller size. My lab is on the small size and she actually needs a size small.

We purchased the harness for our 13yr old Lab. She has terrible arthritis and can no longer climb up stairs. With the harness my husband and I can easily walk beside her and give her the help she needs.

I read the reviews and also called customer service because I was unsure if I should get a S or M sized harness for my dog whose girth is 29.5 inches. Customer service said to go with the small. It took three days to receive my harness which arrived today SATURDAY by FEDEX. Fast shipping. At first I thought the harness was to small. But with some thought and patience I figured out how to adjust the two straps. The part to adjust was hidden inside the comfort pad on the strap. The first strap behind his legs is at the end of the part of the strap that keeps the strap from pulling through the connector. Even though there is no more strap available to adjust the front strap, it is comfortable on my dog. I did have to loosen the straps under the neck for comfort. Very easy to do.
The second strap on the belly is plenty comfortable with room for stomach expansion. Although if my dog got fatter the front strap would no longer fit any girth increase. I have a male dog and the back strap is positioned about two inches from his penis. No interference with urinating at all. My dog seemed to like this harness much better than his old no name brand one I bought a PetSmart. I also had very good control with this harness as our first time out we came across two labs being walked together who wanted to eat my dog. My dog responded with a bit of aggression and I was able to hold on to him easily because of this new harness. Because of his wrinkles I had to be careful with the old harness because on several occasions he was able to pull it off by backing away from me and wiggling it off. He will not be able to do this with the Ruff Wear Harness. Also keep in mind this is an athletic fit harness. If you don't have to worry about your dog getting out of his harness and your dog has a girth of 30 or more I would go with a medium. I almost went with the medium but because of the wrinkles and his ability to get out of every other product I have tried the small was the best choice for him. He weighs 63 pounds; if he gains weight as he ages I will have to upgrade to the medium. But I do love this harness. I was between black and red.. my kids choose black. I am sure the red looks great also.

I had and older version of this harness and, after 7 years, needed another (althought the old one is still in good working order!). This new harness design fits my lab so much better. She is short and stocky and I can adjust it very well to her body.

best, by far..ahve used on numerous dogs in recvoering from surgeries. most comfortable for the dog...and for the human assisting him. i've tried various other harnesses, and 'home inventions' for lifting and supporting dogs......this one is very well designed.
can't say enough good about ruff wear webmaster harness.......made recovery much more rapid for numerous dogs, as we were able to mobilize them much more efficiently, which got them abck on their own four legs (and three) much quicker. and thanks for saving MY back!

We love our new Ruffwear Harness! It's true .... it is truly Houdini proof. Our beagle Ralphie cannot pull or back out of this harness no matter how hard he tries. I feel very confident and secure on our walks now. You've made a great product.

We bought this harness for our 11 year old lab to get him in and out of the car. Because of his arthritis, he needs help with mobility and this webmaster harness is perfect.

We also purchased one of these for out 6lb italian greyhound mix and though a tad big for her, she moves with ease on the trail and in our home. We also purchased the Palisades Pack which comes as a webmaster harness with the packs off, for our lab puppy and with that harness we can easily pull him out of the water or carry him across the hot blacktop to the park. This harness is a MUST HAVE for your dog. Well worth the money.

My 15 year old boy had a weight bearing front toe amputated. I ordered this harness ahead of time and it came very quickly. I can't imagine how I'd have managed those first few days of rehabilitation with out it. It is the only one out there that provided support for his deep, heavy front torso as many others lack the firm chest straps. He is healing nicely now and slowly adapting to his newly configured front paw. The harness will be helpfull in future as age diminishes his leg strength.

I purchased this harness for my elderly dog who has difficulty getting up when laying down and squatting to do you know what! It has made a world of difference in her life. The handle allows me to provide the lift she needs to get up with ease and feel secure when needed. I also really like the location of the leash hook. She no longer needs to wear a collar and I am able to gently lead her where I want her to go.

I bought this harness to help my old dog get up and down the stairs and for my puppy to wear while hiking. While there is at least a 10lb difference in their sizes, it fits them both. Mordecai likes having the extra help up the stairs and Max loves everything! It's nicely padded and comfortable for the dogs to wear. It was a little difficult to adjust the harness but once adjusted it fit great.

This harness is also serving Max great while in training as a service dog. It let's me keep close control of him and put him where he needs to be. We love it!

We use it on our sailboat to keep the dogs from straying too close to the edge when underway. We also use it with this dog to keep her on the boat when we are at dock as she runs away in a heartbeat. It is great to know that she can't escape from this harness.

We had an earlier version of this for our Dalmatian (who was bigger than our current "rescue" dog.) This updated version has a metal tether/leash loop which is much improved over the old plastic one.
The padding has also been improved helping to keep chafe down to a minimum when the dog needs to wear the harness all day long.

my old english sheepdog is 100lbs and loosing strenght in his hindquarters. He needs help getting up. This harness does the trick. He is in the pool daily and it does not interfear with swimming and I am able to give him a lift even though I am in a back brace. Its been a life saver for both of us. Product is made very well and looks great even though its on him 24/7.

My Service Dog and I have used the older version of this harness system for years, but we just upgraded to the new model and love it. This gives me control over her and also allows me to lift her over obstacles such as up the narrow stairs into an AMTRAK railcar.

My sheltie is an older rescue who had a tough life with arthritis and is overweight. He swims like a champ in this harness in the therapy pool. The rehab group uses both the Float Coat and the Webmaster harnesses. They are the best things for helping these dogs since the invention of the "food bowl"!!! :-)

The dogs had harnesses that were uncomfortable. Since we now use the Web Master harness, both dogs eagerly step into their harnesses when it is time for their walk.

Love the Web Master Harness...my 33 lb strong terrier mix (Jack Russell/Chow/etc.) has a fear of trucks that we are working through. She backs up and has escaped from other harnesses but not the Web Master! She is secure in it and I feel more secure that she will stay in it. It gets a lot of compliments too. Great product.

I use this product with a ferral dog that I have been working with. She slipped out of every other product I tried except this one. Great product.

This harness is the best i have ever found by far. Your dog will stay in place and the straps are nice and soft to avoid rubbing. People call it my dog's batman outfit because he looks ready for action. The only bad thing i will say is the lack of a light loop. I believe since the upgrade of the leash ring (GREAT) they thought that the metal might crack the light. I have put the light on the back strap but it flops around and it is not the same. Please fix this in the next model and you will have a perfect harness.

My Sheltie is handicaped - she is semi paralyzed in her rear legs and I use the harness daily. I have two harnesses so I can have one in wash and one on my dog. The harness makes it easiler to assist her movement and to pick her up. She has also worn the harness for swimming and in a water treadmill. The Bark'n Boots are also fabulous! I use them on her rear feet when she is in her wheelchair to keep her toes from getting injured if she drags her feet. I don't know what I would do without either product because they make it so much easier to care for my handicaped dog.

These harnesses are incredible. We have tried many, many harnesses on our working dogs, and none have performed all that well. Our dogs are working dogs, and when working on-leash are often pulling so hard that they cut off air flow by compressing their tracheas. These harnesses distribute the pulling force very effectively, and are the only harnesses we have found that work on hard pulling dogs. The mulit-point attachments and handle on the top are useful desgin elements, and they fit like a glove. The reflective trim makes for a great safety bonus. The first time we put them on our young dogs in training, we expected a fight.... they fit so well the dogs could have cared less. These are the best harnesses on the market!

My beautiful Leo has Osteosarcoma and had her front right leg amputated. She is a giant breed dog and usually they do not do well with a front leg amputation. I use the harness to help her in and out of the car. Otherwise, I would not be able to take her to her doctor appointments and chemo sessions. The harness has been a lifesaver for me. And, it is large enough for my giant dog. I thank Ruffwear for this aid.

My dog had surgery on his neck (Wobblers) and had difficulty walking before and after. We bought the harness to help with getting him around without pulling too much on his neck. It worked great and he is doing wonderful. The harness really saved my back and got my dog Carl up and around again. Thanks Ruffwear! :)

These harnesses enable our dogs to assist us in pulling in the PWC's and allow us to "keep a handle" on them in dicey situations on the beach, since they are not law enforcement dogs. I do wish the straps were better contained. Seems as if the extra material is always flapping in the wind. Our labs are almost 100lbs. but thin and fit, so the straps are long on them.

my 5 year old boxer has a torn ACL and hip dysplasia so I wanted something to help me assist/lift up his hindquarters. Read the reviews and decided on this-and it fits my requirements perfectly and is well made and will last years.

I got this harness for my 25 lb poodle who is having mobility problems. It is very well made, secures him perfectly and is a lifesaver as i can lift him with the handle and his hind end comes right up. i am going to look at boots now since he is dragging his back feet. I trust ruff wear now that i have experience with the products.

This is actually the second Web Master Harness I have purchased. My puppy out grew the first Harness, I knew this would happen but she needed one for our hiking and camping trips. Now that she is full grown I purchased a larger harness. After seeing how well my first harness handled and the way it was constructed I had to get another one the same. I would not change a thing to it.

Our vet recommended this harness after our dog had hip surgery (hit by a car). We were able to use this harness to help him stand up and to assist him in walking across our hardwood floors. We also used it to help support him when he went to the bathroom so that he didn’t put all of his weight on his back legs and re-injure himself. It has been a lifesaver. I am not sure what we would have done without it. I also want to comment on the excellent customer service at ruffwear. I called to order this on my drive from the vet as our dog was having surgery. He was coming home the next day, so I needed it right away. When I called in the late afternoon, I missed the normal shipping cutoff, but the customer service representative said he would talk to shipping and call me back. He called back within 10 minutes and they made a special exception to make sure this was overnighted to us so we had it when our dog came home the next day. Wonderful product and wonderful people!

The only issue I have is that the bottom piece that connects one of the straps and the chest protecter is too long. I have a cairn terrier and they are rectanglur shaped short legs and a longer body. It's not enough of adjustment to fit right and that is the only thing I would change. I love every thing else about it. It's sturdy and built really well.

We used this harness on our Dalmatian when we sail. If he ever falls overboard or needs an assist getting aboard the boat the harness supports him well. It has fared well in the sun and more importantly the salt water. It works so much better than any other harness we've tried as it truly supports the entire body. Dalmatians are very deep chested and I worried that it might not fit or adjust properly, but that was a needless worry. The only thing that would have made him happier was to have one more quick release buckle so we didn't have to put one front leg through the opening. (He hated to have his front feet/legs touched.) I wish we had thought of using this immediately after he had his TPLO surgery this fall - what wasn't I thinking???

This is my second one. I used the first one on long hikes. It made it much easier to wrangle and older 70 pound dog up and over rock ledges. It gave out after three years of heavy wear and tear. Now I use this harness to put my dog out on lead in my unfenced yard, so we can relax in the yard together and she has freedom to wander around. Finally, my dog has very short hair and sensitive skin, so far the padding on this harness has protected her from any sore spots. Other less substantial harnesses have caused problems.

I run with my dogs and have always worried about causing trachea or neck damge using the usual collar and leash. I have looked and tried several different harnesses and this one is the best for me and my running mates!

Someone was thinking when they designed this. It is made to easily keep your pooch under control in all situtations. At the same time it was made to be comfortable for the dogs. The only thing I would note is that if your dog is on the border line on sizes go with the bigger one, they seem to run a little on the small size.

I got this harness as part of the Palisades pack for my dog Polar. The harness deserves separate review because it is such an excellent product. I'm a rock climber, so when I got hiking I like to scramble up some low-grade rocks whenever I see some. But my four-legged friend isn't as capable on the near vertical terrain, so this harness was a god-send in giving my puppy a helping hand on the harder sections. The harness fits well, Polar doesn't like me picking her up by the handle, but it doesn't seem like it's hurting her. The material and craftmanship is top notch, and the reflective trim is a nice touch.

This harness is Great. I am training my golden pup to go hiking the mountains of Maine. The harness is easy to adjust and seems to be very comfortable. Very sturdy handle and supports the dog good when lifted. Will work great for helping her over large rocks, boulders and ledges. It's mud season here in Maine and the dog gets covered in mud. The harness cleans up very nice after a long muddy hike. Thanks for a great product!

I use the harness to control him from not jumping. Rocco is very strong so if I need to control him from pulling me I use the lead with the harness. The harness is very study and easy for me to put on him. I also used this right after his ACL surgery to assist him to walk. Worked great. I use it daily for him.

I have full control of my two dogs. I feel confident walking them both at the same time with the Web Master Harness. I feel that they are secure and can pull out of the harness.

This is an Inascapable harness !! Thank you for designing a comfortable harness that my big dufus Alex can not get out of. This has ended my days of going after him in the car, and most importantly the complaints from neighbors.

The harness is great. It fits really well and can be easily adjusted in numerous places. It is nice and sturdy and holds up well with a dog that likes to pull. Also, love the handle on the back which allow you more control over your dog when you want, as well as the reflecters are great so that if your walking in the evening she can be easily seen. I also love the fact that it serves well as a protective harness for the dog when in the car, so you can easily seatbelt her in. It is a bit pricey for a harness, but well worth the money. My dog is stylin' in hers, and she knows it.

This is the best harness on the market for large dogs. My dog doesn't mind it too much. The straps loosen up and I have to tighten them often, but overall it's a great product. I wish they wouldn't use Scotch 3m on the harness, though, because that company tests their products on laboratory animals. I don't want to support animal cruelty!

I am a service dog in training and this harness fits me perfect. My only comment would be to have a small removable pouch or two. My mom made one to go on one side but a factory matching one would be nicer.

The perfect item to help me help Sugar when she is having a tough time up and down the steps, in and out of car, and just getting up off a slick floor that has no traction for her. At 13 with severe arthritis, this is the perfect addition to make her remaining time here more comfortable. And, she thinks she is a rescue dog and flaunts it as she walks!

This harness is a life saver for my German Shepherd with DM. She feels so much more secure when she has it on and in a week has learned to stand at the door in the morning to have it put on. It's comfortable enough for her to wear all day. I would like to order a double back one, but she has a hard enough time standing for me to get this one on. Are you ever planning to offer that one with the quick snaps? In the mean time, Dutchess says thanks for giving me more mobility and for helping my Mom pull me out of the snow banks!

I wasn't sure how I was going to help my 10 year old lab get up and down stairs and in and out of the car after having his right front leg amputated due to bone cancer. This harness has been the perfect solution. The handle on the back makes it so easy to guide him, and to lift him if necessary. I recommend it to any owner of amputee or arthritic dogs that need a little help.

I purchased the harness to help our 13 year old RR back up the stairs to our house after her daily walks. It is also very helpful on our many hills. It is easy to adjust and to put on and take off. I am glad it helps to keep our elderly dog active!

Offers great flexibility and increased supports. Has definitely made walking our pet much easier given her recent spine problems. In between sizes are a bit tricky, though.

I purchased a Web Master Harness to assist my german shepard named Maxie, who developed GSDM several months ago. The harness has been a big help in assisting with her therapy walks. It has also proved it's worth in helping Maxie to walk through all the snow that we've been getting here in the east. Again great product. I've already recommended it to a few pet store owners to pass the word.

we bought this harness for our 78 lb senior labrador as she was recovering from surgery on her 2 front legs. The harness allowed us to help her navigate stairs and stand after surgery. The weight distribution and handle were great not only for our dog - but for our backs as well. When the vet's office saw it they agreed it was the perfect solution. Charlie uses this vest as his Therapy Dog uniform. I had never used it for his leash until today. Why did I wait so long? It worked so well at keeping his 108 pounds where it should be, right by my side!

I was looking forward to receiving this becasue my dog has hip dysplasia and this product came highy recommended. It took a while for this to arrive in the mail. I took the measurements according to the directions. Measured twice, just to be sure. My dog is not a big Lab like so many. However, this harness is way too small. Sadly, I will have to send it back. Maybe I received one that was wrongly sized? I am not sure. I am thinking of sending this one back and ordering from another company becasue this did take a while to arrive in the mail. I would recommend this product if it fits your dog!

This works much better than other similar products. Our 11 yr old, 80lb german shepard was having trouble getting up and down the stairs of our 2-story house. He didn't like the other harness.

I use a power chair for mobility and this is my second Web Master Harness. My dog loves the harness and is very proud to wear it. During Hurricane Katrina the harness was of great value as the handle was used to contain and hold my dog during the rising storm surge. I would highly recommend this harness and will only purchase the Web Master in the future. I thank you along with my dog Rascal !

MiLa loves her new harness. Some call it her sports bra. Others call it her robot suit. Her favorite beach has about 30 steps to go up and down, and it was getting very difficult for her to handle them(she's a senior citizen at 13 years old). Not only has the harness provided the support to make it much easier, but I think she is being rehabilitated, too! So glad we found this product. I recommend it to everyone!

This is the second harness we've purchased and it's my favorite. It's sturdy and well made. I wouldn't use anything else on my little frenchie.

We purchased the harness to assist our beagle post orthopedic surgery for a torn CCL. The harness has helped tremendously as we have frequently had to load her in and out of the car for vet and rehab vists as well as navigate many flights of stairs. The harness was easy to adjust and she seems to feel comfortable wearing it. If I had one con to mention, then it would merely be that the strap that goes just in front of her hind legs seems to slip easily, so we do have to adjust that one more than the front and it's a very minor issue since she loves the attention as we get her suited up. As her leg as strengthened, I still prefer the harness - she seems to tug less and appears to feel a little more secure. I highly recommend this product - it's well made, it works as described and really it has been the best find we've found since starting this orthopedic odyssey.

The Webmaster allows us to give our almost 14 yr old, 85# Bouvier who has hind end arthritis/neuro issues just a little extra assistance and security when out on walks and navigating steps without "insulting his dignity." Vet techs at the specialty clinic we frequent drooled when they saw his duds.

My golden retriever is almost a year old and just loves everyone. This harness allows us to hike with the dog in a more comfortable manner. She wants to greet people, bikes, horses, and wild animals like squirrels. We just hold onto the loop attached to the harness and our dog stays close and in control during those encounters. Thanks.

bassets are harder to fit than most breeds but we heard of this harness and tried it out after our 6 yr old Sammy had major back surgery. He 54 lbs. and needs assistance up and down stairs. Our 9 yr old Dudley is 70 lbs and we take them both out for their regular walks and know that when the time comes with Dudley, he too will be in the safest of harness and we wil all feel secure. A little over a year ago, I adopted an american bulldog who had lost her front, left leg in an accident. I had a hard time finding a harness that would stay in place. Regular collars did not support her well when she got clumsy and put too much pressure on her neck. The Web Master works absolutely perfect for dogs who are missing a front leg. I could't find any sort of harness made specifically for three-legged dogs, but this one fills that gap! Sadie has so much energy and loves to go, go, go when we go on our walks and this harness allows her to do so, because I am able to support her, so she saves her energy. The quality of the product is great. Totally recommend it. With the summer coming up, I know Sadie will my dying to go for a swim, so I'll be purchasing a Float Coat soon. If it's as durable and well-fitting as this harness, I'm sure it'll be perfect!

My l6 year old Annie has osteoporosis and has been having such a difficult time getting around. The harness helps me to support her as she walks. It has been a real blessing as she needs (and wants) to be as mobile as she possibly can. Since I'm only 5'1 and l30 lbs and Annie is 72 lbs. the harness gives me the help I need . I really love it and so does she!!!

This super sturdy harness let's me help my older GSD with hip problems keep mobile. It is a sad time for us, but your product improves Maka's quality of life during his last days. Thank you! However, he does make a fuss when I try to get his front leg through the harness.

We live on a boat and bought these for safety on the docks, easy to grab handle or guide dog with leash if they fall in. Harnesses are very well made and very sturdy. Easy to adjust and use. Fit my corgis, which are difficult dogs to fit!

Not only does the Web-master look killer :) it serves it functions very well. Works well bearing load also, I ride while he runs, and well.. I just can't keep up! This harness allows a lot of pressure to be taken off his neck and collar.

I'm so glad I found your products. My 8 1/2 yr old Weim has a neurological condition that makes it difficult for her to get up sometimes and not fall over while pooping/peeing. This harness is great. It allows me to pick up the 65 pounder off the floor with no problems and helps me hold her while she potties. I also got the Bark N Boots with the smooth soles for helping her walk on the tile floors from a local vendor you use in Altamonte Springs. They are great also. Thank you for making products that work so well and give our aging and injured fur kids a productive quality of life!

I bought a med & Lrg. of the harness for my 15 yr. old boxer who is having a hard time standing up by himself. I found it to be better than the other vet or internet lifting harnesses that I got. The only problem is that the back under strap is not wide enough for support on his floating ribs. Some kind of support between both under straps would be reassuring. It is also too close to his penis. The outwardhound harness is less than $20 & great for my purpose but it is only available in an Xlarge size.

I have purchased the Webmaster Harness as well, and it hasn’t worked very well for my lab. It stops him from walking because the chest padded strap seems too long and bothers his arms. Moreover, the harness moves too much, unless I strap tight, which he doesn’t like. I elongated the front strap so that the padded strap is behind his arms, but the rear strap across moves too close to his penis. The length from nech to tail is 21”, so that the medium should fit him, but I haven’t yet found a way to position this harness well.

I bought this harness so I could safely take my dog out on my rollerblades. I get to skate and she gets to run to her hearts content. The harness means that she doesn't get jerked around by her collar and the color and reflective material helps people see us coming. Everywhere we go people comment on what an amazing harness it is. The handle is so convenient too. We loved it so much we bought the Approach Pack for her for Christmas.

Our dog is 45 lbs, aprox 27" girth. The small is perfect. Took a couple of adjustments, but fits her great and doesn't chafe. Great for walking, running, hiking.

We were recommended this harness when our dog Dixie had amputation surgery on her front left leg. Dixie wears it when out and about, camping or hiking. The harness just gives her overall support while navigating out in the world. We love the handle — it helps us get her in and out of taller cars and up and down rocks when hiking. My 14 yr old dog has a neurological condition and is losing feeling/movement in his back legs. This harness is just wonderful. The handle is in the perfect place for me to help him up or guide him when he walks with no problem at all. He wears it 24/7 and there are no rub points at all. It washes really well. Thanks for giving my old guy (and me) a better quality of life.

my dog/best friend was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma and had to have his right front leg amputated. at 9 years old he is adjusting amazingly well...and this harness has really helped. i enables me to help him in and out of the car, and up longer stair cases. i'm not sure who feels more secure with him wearing it...him or me - but it has made this difficult transition easier for both of us.

Our dog had spinal surgery last month and the neurosurgeon told us to get one of these harnesses. She said it was the only harness she knew of that was actually designed for a dog's comfort and protection. The strength of the harness back and the well-padded straps distributes the pull of the leash across his body so that the pull force does not impact his spine. We have been able to take our dog for walks without stressing about him lunging forward toward the occassional squirrel or slipping in the snow and ice. Our 40 lb Baja mutt has a very strange shape, but we were able to adjust the harness to fit him beautifully. We called the Ruffwear Customer Service to figure out what size to order and they were very helpful and accurate. One great benefit we really appreciate is the ease/quickness of getting our dog in and out of the harness. We have to come home from work several times a day to walk him and we need to be as efficient as possible with the short time available. The quality of the materials, design, and craftsmanship is incredible and we are very proud that Ruffwear is an Oregon company!

Standard poodles are tough to fit in a harness. They have very deep narrow chests and relatively short bodies. My boy is very close to the breed standard in conformation, and is 60 lbs and 26" at the shoulder. He has had cervical disc surgery twice and needs a good harness. I bought the Medium from The Waggle Store two years ago after his first surgery and it was so long in the body it interfered with his privates. I had to cut off the back part of the harness to use it but it was still too big even when I adjusted the shoulders and breast strap as small as possible. This time I bought the Small. This one fits almost everywhere except the girth strap which barely makes it around his chest even adjusted to the end. If it were two inches longer it would work and I'd have a tiny adjustment left. THEN you could say it fits all dogs. In any case it's an excellent harness, well worth the price, and will fit NEARLY all dogs.

I love this harness. It has been an absolute life saver in helping stabilize a giant dog as he recooperated from numerous surgeries. He has Wobblers Syndrome and as a result, walks with an unsteady gait. The handle allows me to support my dane as he maneuvers slick floors (at the vets) and stairs. I was able to use the harness to directly lift up my 140 lb dog from the floor when he couldn't stand up on his own. Excellent to use while rehabbing dogs from acl surgeries. I recommend everyone to have one of these harnesses for the versatility.

I work for an organization that trains and places assistance dogs for individuals with disabilities, and am on an eternal search to find the "perfect" harness for a dog to comfortably pull a wheelchair. I've tried many, and returned almost as many. The Web Master harness, so far, may not be perfect but is the closest thing I've found - it adjusts to fit snugly on a variety of dogs (very important!), doesn't restrict movement, doesn't chafe under the front legs, and keeps pressure off of the trachea. The handle is unique in terms of pulling a wheelchair; most handles are oriented perpendicular to the dog, rather than parallel, however we've found that it actually has resulted in less "crabbing" and a nicer (and healthier/safer) movement overall. We've wrapped the handle to make it a bit softer to grasp and hold for long periods of time. At least for now, this is my new favorite harness, by a long shot - something especially impressive, given that it wasn't at all designed to be used in this manner (as far as I know).

I have both the black and red harness for my pup, well 80lb Glab. Got the harness since my dog is a service animal, so I have added that information to the harness. The harness is some what interesting, trying to figure out a good fit. I think this harness looks far superior to anything else on the market for service animals. Maybe offer some special for pre-sewn for working dogs?

I have a "Houdini dog" one that would get out of everything, this harness has been a miracle!!! I am the one that is handicap and now feel safe walking my dog knowing I have full control.

My big guy is 12+ years old and has some arthritis and weakness from a growing abdominal tumor. He is currently in Vet Med acupuncture and is eating home cooked food which has helped him a lot. The harness has made it possible to help him in and out of the RV. Climbing a flight of stairs is easy now with a little lift from me on the handle. My vet appreciates how easy it is for the handler to lift him and move him around. Life is much easier and he is happier because of this harness.
