Ruff Wear was a one person, one dog show... with one product and a single mission, to build innovative gear For Dogs On The Go®. Our primary goal has always been to build performance products that enhance and inspire outdoor adventures for dogs and their human companions. That mission has stood the test of time, and along the way Otis and I have shared amazing adventures, met and worked with incredibly talented people and dogs, and most importantly, had a lot of fun!
|   In terms of our product design, what used to be a few sketches on a
napkin, followed by a session at the sewing machine, has turned into a
refined process-driven design effort. Prototypes are all tested in lab
settings, as well as the real-world environments in which they are
intended to perform. It takes a lot more planning and time to create
Ruff Wear products these days, because the gear we are making is far
more refined, and incorporates more advanced materials and
construction. But we still begin with a real customer need, and work
hard to deliver upon that need.
We've grown from a one person, one dog team to a 20 person, 25 dog team... who are committed to carrying on Ruff Wear's original mission.
We definitely love your feedback... so please keep those stories from the field, product suggestions, and testimonials coming. In the meantime, we will continue developing and testing new, innovative gear for canines and their companions.
