Q: What products would you recommend for use on boat excursions?

A: Since most of us here at Ruff Wear are water enthusiasts and enjoy boating, we have lots of experience boating with our canine companions. Here are the ideas that we have for you:

The 3D Bark'n Boots™ are a great ideas since dogs do not like the feel and sound of their claws against fiberglass, Kevlar or any of the other materials that most boats are made of. The boots will give them traction as well as dampen the sound and cushion the scraping of their claws.

We also recommend our Mt. Bachelor Pad™. The bottom of our pads are water proof therefore water should not seep up through the pad into the fleece portion of the bed. The Mt. Bachelor pad rolls up into a very compact bed-roll, stows easily in a dry bag, and is perfect for camping trips giving your dog a very comfortable place to sleep at night.

Another item that is crucial if you plan on spending time on the water with your dog is a K-9 Float Coat™. This will keep your dog safe if and when your watercraft capsizes. As you know, dumping your canoe is not a matter of "if" but "when".

Lastly, The Beacon™ is a perfect addition for any boat related activities. Not only will it be easier for you to spot your companion if she/he is in the water, but the visibility will also aid other outdoor enthusiasts in spotting him/her too!
